You cannot compare this with Blender Guru, this guy just shows us how to make a donut mostly, but blender guru goes more in depth on how the interface works and how to do things. He also does extra things and makes it more realistic. So this one is more of a How to make a Donut tutorial, Blender guru's is a How to make a donut Beginner Tutorial.
How did you make it so that the sprinkles go on top instead of under? Mine goes under unless I use modifier stack under Emission > Source > Use modifier stack. Which make half of my sprinkles on top and the other half on under. Does that mean my icing is upside down?
@@paolocordero5301 here: Hey guys I found a solution if your sprinkles are under the icing or side, or both on top and under: Go to the Modifier Properties (Wrench Icon) and in the Solidifier, go to the “Normal” and check the “flip” box Make sure that the “Edit mode” (box icon, should be next to the computer icon)is enabled in the Solidifier and that the “Use Modifier Stack” is disabled in the Particle Properties > Emission > Source This will fix it, but the icing may look a little sharpy or weird So you may wanna sculpt it a little bit to fix it. Please reply if you have any questions!
Really good tutorial. I was able to follow and render my own doughnut. I've seen a lot of doughnut tutorials and never completed any before watching this video. Good work!
Thank you, simple and to the point, and after a little tweaking to the materials I have a very appetizing donut.
Can someone please help? for the sprinkles part, when i select the object as my cylinder, the sprinkles are inside the icing. :( please help @Reach5
underrated. Much faster and quicker than Blender Guru. you did it in like 25 minutes
Bro Blender Guru's tutorial is not only a video of how to make a donut, it is a course which makes you learn basics of blender

When it comes to doing the crease thing, it doesn't work on the donut. Instead, it only works on the icing. How do you get to do that?
