Very good tutorial. I learned a lot. I like your style and pacing! I do have a comment and a question. It seems counter-intuitive to me to add additional lights to a light bulb scene. I have been trying to create ArchViz with chandeliers and other light fixtures with exposed light bulbs like the Edison light in your tutorial. The modeling works great, but the light is really low. I can get the filament to glow the way you did, but in the real world, the room should be illuminated by these lights, not some additional light object. When I crank the emission up to 1,000,000 or higher, I still just get a small glow. I have tried adding a Glare in the compositor, but this does not seem to create realistic light for the room. I believe the root cause is the amount of geometry in the filament (very small), but in the real world filaments are small, yet they create a lot of light. So, my question is... Do you know how to create light coming from the filaments (or the illusion of light coming from the filaments) that light the room the way an Edison light bulb would light a room?

This “trattoria” of Piazza Rosa has become the “birthplace of fettuccine all’Alfredo”. More specifically, as is well known to many people who love the “fettuccine all’Alfredo", this famous dish in the world was invented by Alfredo Di Lelio concerned about the lack of appetite of his wife Ines, who was pregnant with my father Armando (born February 26, 1908). Alfredo di Lelio opened his restaurant “Alfredo” in 1914 in Rome and in 1943, during the war, he sold the restaurant to others outside his family.
