      @@JP94 £3.5k is a good amount of savings for a car considering you've been saving for only a year. You save a little longer and it should be enough for a good car, insurance and a bit of tlc as well if necessary. Fair play man. Keep it up! 💪

    I did score an A6 Le Mans Quattro limited edition, total cost £5k including full retune and a full cleanup from my garage, a couple of cosmetics things to fix (faded rear lights) and some fresh tyres, happy miles. Moves in between S and RS, eats most of what's on the road including all the cars listed in that video.

    Great list, as I just recently purchased a Audi s4 cabriolet. Still hard to believe it’s a v8 4.2 for £3,300 and in very good condition plus more importantly the timing chain and gliders replaced at 90k miles a couple of years ago. Great fun and fewer and fewer left as the cost of doing the timing chain cost £2k to £3k and most people will not be able to justify the expenditure. It’s 80% of the Audi rs4 for a fraction of the price as they command a premium of at least £15k. Highly recommend a Audi s4 for great fun, however the v8 sound is underwhelming

      Audi are usually quiet - got an A6 for £5k and had a full tune. Similar story, bought it after the previous owner was fed up chucking money at it (while he had zero mechanical knowledge). The only mistake he did was to give it to the wife for the school run short trips on a cold engine, so it clogged up regularly. Got myself a car with new chain, new chain guides, new injectors, new exhausts, new plugs and the (notorious apparently) fuel gauge fail fixed by a specialist, full Audi history except specialist fixes and tuning.

    Just a thought, what about a list of commercial cars that are nice and business owners can put through there businesses? i.e. Defender hardtop, mini club van, tesla (or any electric car) etc etc

    I live in Dublin Ireland and I vaguely remember the Cadillac at number 9. I don't think that they sold well in UK/IRELAND.

    Something wrong with the search on this video. If you hover over the run bar it shows Mazda MX5's and Golf GTi's while you are talking about SUVs.

    Where did you find a Touareg V8 under 5000€??

  • @ApothecaryTerry
    @ApothecaryTerry Год назад

    Can you? Yes.
    Should you? Actually...the GS, 645Ci, V70 and S4 aren't entirely terrible ideas! Obviously nobody who is stretching for £5k should buy these, but for anyone thinking of a £10k budget, just get one of these, fund a few repairs and you're laughing.
    The Caddy though, if you turn up in that, people will notice. Massage seats are great, although my car has the most French massage seats in history, it sort of gently pokes you in the back with a baguette (not an innuendo, for once).

    Or just get any turbo’d Saab and for a few hundred afterwards your remap will push it to 300bhp

      I would have bought a Saab, but the company went under when I was looking for a new car - the problem being, finding parts when you need them.
