My family and I just got a new home and moved in last year…I noticed the cracks in the steps and started to fix it but I do have fine cracks what I need to go back and fill. I did see this product when I went to Home Depot so I will by it the next time I go. Seeing the fine cracks is driving me nuts. Lol Thank you for this video!
I used water proof clear silicon on a cement crack on my pathway. Yes the same one I use in the kitchen and bathroom. It stopped the cracking and has held up for the past 4 years. I used the liquid cement on a bigger crack but it eventually crack and fell apart a year later. Water proof silicone seem to do better.
I am going to use Mr Fix it for my concrete redo. I tore up the old carpet and am putting down totally different. I need Mr Fix it and more tutorials to hel p with this project.
Funny Guy! I say things like that constantly... I’ve been putting off repairing the crack running down my drive way, but now it’s going to be my next home project after watching your video. Thank You 👍👍
Great tutorial, Aaron! Thanks. I'm about to tackle a crack between steps on the front of my home entry where the slab jacking from 7 years ago has sunk, and this video was just the get-in-gear prompt I needed. UPDATE: 1 hour later the job was all done. Thanks again.
The concrete chasing blade and angle grinder is what I have been looking for! The Dremel tool with diamond wheel is like the cat licking the grindstone. It works but sure is slow.
Please continue to fully repair on your great videos. Like, not just filling, but... finishing it to a level surface. And, if you recommend sealing, or whatever so it will last longer. Particularly doing a cracked driveway. 1/2 to 1 inch or more cracks. Especially what product you recommend for larger cracks. Thank you...
I have several cracks in my driveway (exposed aggregate). If you want a better colour match I found that spreading dry, loose sand on top of the compound works well. It needs to be done quickly, a small section at a time, with some even pressure so the sand adheres properly. Leave it for 24hrs then sweep or hose off. It's more work of course but the result is durable, and the crack lines are far less noticable.
Great tips. I have been repairing concrete for 38 years. 2 part epoxy also works great but very expensive. Also the crack MUST be very clean and dust free.
How does it work when the cement is going to keep moving? Doesn't it break the epoxy open and now there's a new crack? My floor moves several times a year. The stuff he is using he said is flexible, so hopefully it wouldn't crack right open again next time there's movement. I've just never tried epoxy for a crack like that - it would be interesting to see how that works.
Excellent video thank you Can you please provide a new video how to put a topping compound in order to flat the crack after fill it in? Please let me know Thanks 🙏
No foolin' around in your presentation, Mr. Fix It, Very Good! Thanks for your good video. My concrete supply store sells the crack chaser for $100, here I go fixing to buy it online, sorry local supplier.
I do alot of concrete polishing I will tell you a turbo wheel is amazing for rapid removal but if you intend on finishing the concrete get dry polishing pads turbo wheels leave scratches in the concrete that stains or sealers will highlight
Yeah because there is a huge crack in my life, I do need to clean up and fix it! I have a crack in my garage too, thx for sharing. Just noticed this is from 2017.
I cannot believe how many likes of this.Yes clean dirt out.Pour unibond into crack.Allow an hour to soak in.Fill with 3 in 1 sand and cement.Job done. All this video is ,to get you to buy expencive products.Also.Better to lay the concrete floor in the correct way ,at the beginning.
Thanks for your video Aaron. Very good finished job. The foam filler looks interesting - not sure we get these in UK. As an older guy (with skills from the old boys of my youth) I found it interesting that your hands hardly ever engage with the surface you are working on. Instead of the grinding tool, I would use rough sandpaper and finger touch to check the level. I'd also mix my own concrete mix (cheaper and I get the mix I want). But I do get the DIY pleasure of using tools, and of buying new ones. Thanks again and all the best.
Thanks for the video. I am planning to hire a company to epoxy, use color chips, and polyaspartic top coat my garage floor. One of three companies said that the many small spider vein cracks the floor has do not need to be widened using a diamond blade before applying the filler. I see that you suggest that they be widened first. What will happen if this is not done first?
HI, thank you... well done...BTW: Great impromptu CRACK joke. Probably one of the best DIY videos I have ever seen. NO dead air time. I have a small crack near my foundation where they put in a patio. It has settled and the patio has moved away from the foundation... Any Suggestions..
I just stumbled onto this video. You have a new fan/subscriber! I thought this video was informative and comical as well. I really loved your scale on how hard this job will be based on F bombs. Thats totally me. The one question I have is you said after filling the crack I could use a trowel to smooth out the filler to the concrete. If I chose to how do I get the Dap product over spread off the concrete? Thanks for the video.
Do you have to do multiple filling applications when it settles into the crack? Do you have to scrap off the top? Is this like a grout compound or a rubbery caulking? Thanks.
Great Video,,I was just about to tackle my Patio cracks, so this was the perfect time for the Vid. Great puns too. I too purchased GAP, hope It turns out, too expensive to have the whole slab professionally done. Question?? Can this be painted with Concrete Paint after a few days.??
You are a God! Thank you for this video as I have pour drainage from my garage and have several cracks in the cement floor. They dont both me really, but when it comes time to sell the house, this is a quick and easy repair that will help me with aesthetics.
For a different crack, like mortar between cinder blocks in a basement (fire wall, not load bearing), would DAP ready mixed concrete patch in the plastic tub work? It worked great for small holes in my garage floor and driveway and has held up for years. Seems very durable. Wondering if that is an easy product to replace the mortar between blocks. Thank you.
Is it absolutely necessary to use the crack chasing tool for smaller cracks? I am mainly just trying to fill in cracks in my driveway to be able to skateboard on a smoother surface, it doesn't have to be pretty or perfect.
Love your video! I a small- medium hairline crack in my basement foundation. There is no water leakage. Do you advise using epoxy or cement to fill it?
Thanks for this video. Learned something new. I would like to see a "next step" which to finish the floor. I believe that people would have a floor full cracks (veins) and appearance is key when a client walks into your house / work / shop space.
So I was wondering I work at a barn and we have a area that you can wash your horses in and we also have a crack that is very similar to the one in your video so my question is should I use a different liquid cement filler?
I am filling a few cracks (not this big or deep) and then planning on staining my floor on top. Will staining over the filler weaken the seal? Great videos b.t.w very informative!
We have a concrete floor in our basement that has a crack. When there is heavy rain, water comes up from the crack, flooding our basement. Will the correction demonstrated in your video seal the crack and block the water???
Excellent video, thank you. You wasted no time, straight to the point, no rambling, great pictures, and easy to follow.
Was just about to fix the cracks in my old patio and needed ideas...and here you are. Serendipity!
I just bought a house in the fall.... and turning my garage into a wood shop and I have this exact same crack... this is very helpful thank you
"The cleaner your crack is the better" made me subscribe - lmao
Same! Hahaha
I knew I found the right video as soon as he said that. Haha
Yup, lol nice video!
I like the "F" Bomb 💣 scale! Lol
Yup
Thank you for the tips. I went to Home Depot today and picked up the filler the same as yours but I learned from you about the back a rod. Thank you
Great info! I have been procrastinating on a couple cracks in my shop. I'll give this a shot now!

You cracked me up with your banter about life lessons. Well done video, tight timing and well paced monologue. Count me in as a new sub.
Thanks David!
Thanks, I'm a senior and have a few cracks that need to be fix. you did a great job in explaining how to do it.
Thanks so much for the tip buti i suggest coloring the crack after repair so it doesn't show if thar is possible

Two approaches certainly should remedy any crack issue. Concise and professional.

I have this exact crack!!! Thank you so much! And the humor was appreciated
Your wise "crack" was pretty funny but the project was helpful, thanks
I am looking for similar suggestions for asphalt. Will keep looking. Great video

Quick, to the point, K.I.S.S, well done dude!
Dang! Had me laughing with your f-bomb rating and the crack joke! Just found my new favorite DIY channel!
No fat in this video very informative and fast.
Excellent information and a good (appropriate) use of humour to gain and retain attention!!

Great video..I would have liked to see the final polishing step, but overall very informative.
Excellent video thank you

This is an excellent video. I've watched a number of them because I ave lots of cracked concrete. The methods shown here actually work!!
Yeah because there is a huge crack in my life, I do need to clean up and fix it! I have a crack in my garage too, thx for sharing. Just noticed this is from 2017.
Ya I had one of those too then her and someone I knew got together now she's his crack 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is fantastic. Didn't think about doing this. Love the commentary on this one!
Crack is whack!
This guy is very good and very quick. I'll remember the DAP (a brand already known to me) filler.
Nice job and great video. Also, if you rubbed some dark colored sand on top of that it would make it look much more seamless.
Love your videos. Great edits and straight to the point!
Ive used epoxy in the past with very good results
I love how you rate the project by how many "F" bombs you will drop during its execution...hilarious!!
Thanks so much!

Thanks for this. Just what we needed to know to fix our own cracks on polished concrete floors

Thanks! This is awesome. Very clear. Not one "f" bomb!
Is there any way to incorporate crushed cement, to bring the surface to a concrete look, as opposed to leaving it looking like a caulked up crack?

I will try it thank's can you use a leaf blower to blow out the crack
Say no to crack!!! Thanks for the video!!!
Thank you, Aaron! Straight to the point with even a joke thrown in...👍🏽😂
Excellent video, will use this in my new home!
Right to the point video, thank you much!
Thank you so much. Our house has had foundation repair, but only pillars added. Still needing to fix all the cracks. All 2700 sq ft of them. 😳
Was your home on slab or pillars? I don’t know much about foundations and was wondering how much of a cost to expect if foundation needs repair.
@@melm8808 house is on a slab. The pillars were placed on the perimeter of the slab but it’s the interior where the cracks need fixed
Thank you, Mr. Fix It! I followed your step-by-step on how to fix a crack. Made my life easier. :)

One of those concrete fillers cost 10$, I make it myself by mixing cement to a liquid form and fill the crack .
Just like normal people have done for fucking centuries 😂
Nice! What if I need the repair to be fully waterproof? What product to use, please???? THANKS!
he told u in video. Listen.
What would you recommend to fix a vertical crack on a concrete column that’s holding up a basketball net?
Great video! A lot of opportunities for filling the crack jokes.
Thanks just the info i was looking for…watching in the U.K. July 2021…Brian
Is it absolutely necessary to use the crack chasing tool for smaller cracks? I am mainly just trying to fill in cracks in my driveway to be able to skateboard on a smoother surface, it doesn't have to be pretty or perfect.
Great video. Short and sweet and to the point. As soon as it warms up I'm doing this. Thanks. Edit.. would this work for exterior cracks as well?
thank you very informative easy follow instructions
We had an earthquake and I have a nice crack in my front path, arghh! Going to try it, thank you! ( can't get that crack filler here)

Love your video! I a small- medium hairline crack in my basement foundation. There is no water leakage. Do you advise using epoxy or cement to fill it?
Good stuff man. Very helpful and in depth.
Thanks. I have a driveway I need to fix. Your ideas, my brother is going to do.
Came to learn how to fix a crack but subscribed for the decent life lessons.
good vid, if you want to paint ur crack with mud, to darker it up!
Thanks for this video. Learned something new. I would like to see a "next step" which to finish the floor. I believe that people would have a floor full cracks (veins) and appearance is key when a client walks into your house / work / shop space.
Good demonstration just what we were looking for thanks.
You made it look so easy, thanks for sharing.
"Self-leveling" means it's runny (and will drain if there are voids below); it does not work well on sloped driveways either.
Looks like something I could actually do. A summer project! Thanks
You really helped me 100%...thankyou
Glad I could help!
So I was wondering I work at a barn and we have a area that you can wash your horses in and we also have a crack that is very similar to the one in your video so my question is should I use a different liquid cement filler?
Thanks. Seems easy enough. Thanks for sharing.
I learned so much about crack(s) today.
Poifect. My try was a fail. This will do the job. tks
I love the f*bomb rating! Lol I'm renovating my house pretty much on my own and I love these videos! Straight forward and informative!
Nice job filling the crack! Good suggestion to wear protection!
Especially if you been drinking, they never look the same the next morning
Great video that is concise and informative!
REALLY GOOD AND DAP TKS
WILL REMEMBER IN ALL AREAS 😊
Been looking hours. You hit the nail on the head. Thank you so much. I am a senior and can do this myself, your one in a million.
Thanks. I'm going to try this and even though I'm blonde, I hope I don't mess it up. Great instructions. :)
I am filling a few cracks (not this big or deep) and then planning on staining my floor on top. Will staining over the filler weaken the seal? Great videos b.t.w very informative!
Awesome...can that product be used outdoors on house brick and asphalt?
What color did you use. Looks better color than the gray quickcrete color for matching old concrete
Thank you. This is a great video.
Do you have, or, can you make a video about fixing cracks in cider block walls? I would also like to see you use that turbo cup wheel.
Awesome thanks 😊🙏👍😀
the "F" bomb scale is Awesome!😆
Oh yeah! Yeah..... the “F bomb” scale is hysterical! 😂😂
Your funny joke about cleaning your crack got me to subscribe
We have a concrete floor in our basement that has a crack. When there is heavy rain, water comes up from the crack, flooding our basement. Will the correction demonstrated in your video seal the crack and block the water???
