    I just came back today from Las Vegas. The monorail was easy to use, if you're ok with not too much signage. We took it from the LVCC (Las Vegas Convention Centre on Paradise Rd) and exited at MGM. We walked the strip, then wanted to board near Miracle Mile after watching the fountain at Bellagio. There was a sign on the street that was easy to miss, it was just saying 'monorail' and had an arrow pointing to Miracle Mile Shops. We went inside and couldn't find it. Employees couldn't tell us where to board... or where it even was. Our GPS (Google Maps) said to walk behind the Cosmopolitan, but, that didn't make sense, as there were not tracks there. So, we walked until we found someone who said to look for the escalator, then go down, walk outside. We did... to the parking garage where a Valet was able to tell us to walk to the left, towards Horseshoe. Now, after walking a relatively dark street, passing at least 2 stinky garbage bins (must be a garbage waste centre) and finally climbing in through a 'mystery door' into the monorail. NEVER did we do the monorail again.

      There isn't a station at Miracle Mile. It's MGM, Horseshoe, Flamingo, ect.

      I tried to write it as clear as possible... I guess you could read it.

    Towards the end of the video can you clarify what you said? I don't know if you meant at night if the Sahara station is unsafe, or if you meant the Monorail in general.

    • @vegasnolaman
      @vegasnolaman  11 месяцев назад +2

      That area around (the neighborhood) Sahara is unsafe especially at night. The monorail & station is a safe and affordable option to go to and from Sahara to the main part of the strip.

    5:35, it looks like you could park millions of cars in those garages.

    Any plans on extending the monorail to Fremont Street or for that matter north of the Sahara?
    Also wouldn't it a great idea for some sort of monorail to the airport.

    • @vegasnolaman
      @vegasnolaman  6 месяцев назад

      There were plans on extending but nothing ever materialized. The Musk Boring Tunnels will cover those areas (and more) eventually.

      I heard they are going to dismantle it. Due to losing money, and it's an old monorail system that are not built anymore and there really no part for repairs.

      Yes, all stations have elevators and are scooter accessable.

      I was just using it and you have to 'mind the gap' which is big enough between the platform and the train that you could easily lose your high heal or even wedge heal (may small child's foot). This being said, I'm not too sure if it is an issue or not, if you have wheels that can handle about a 2-3 inch gap.@@vegasnolaman

    Can people in wheelchairs use this monorail? I can't find videos showing how. 😳

      Yes, the Monorail system is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant.
