you look so amazing today!! this level of contrast makes you shine like a diamond....On the topic: develope personal style requires time (the righ choices, the righ pieces, the right inspiration source....), I do find inspiration in women that are stylists as you and use colour and encourage women to run away from size and age limited conceptions about what to wear. I have to admit that since using the WW method I feel I have so much to wear that I do not have the necessity to buy as I used before. I feel so good with my wardrobe now... and the image I have... it's been a long way, I feel I've made it...

I feel like I’ve got a lot to wear too, as there’s a lot of coordinates in my wardrobe 😊

Yes..as a collage artist I own vintage 80s magazines and I end up reading the articles ranging from religion, disability, creative writing, designers making statements, technology and point of view articles and of course modeling .The ads are very creative in vintage mags. I don't even bother reading any new vogue mags that I'm given or source for art. It's mostly adverts and empty spotlight pieces . The photographers are still good but sometimes lack the freedom to be bright and colourful.

Thank you for noticing this! I had a thought I can’t be the only one having these thoughts ☺️

I was not here when you were recording live, but I loved watching this conversation today. My personal style has changed with age, type of work, location vibes and climate. The major change happened when I moved from South Florida to the San Francisco Bay Area. My wardrobe basically had only sandals and sleeveless tops before. But in the SF Bay area I rarely wear open toe shoes because it is chilly in the morning and at night throughout the year. So I had to figure out my style all over again and I made many mistakes trying to fit in with the crowd. I really liked the story you shared about the person who dressed down to adjust to her office mates. It takes courage to embrace our personal preferences and stand out among the crowd as our authentic selves.

We change, our personal style changes. It’s only normal, right? 🥰

Hi Daria, thank you for another great topic! In Instagram I don't follow influencers and the reason for that is that they have nothing interesting to show, in my opinion. I can't learn anything new or useful from them. I have my style and I know what I like and what suits me. Influencers are so vain and often so boring, they copy from each other, they show the same things again and again. I prefer to follow accounts for history, architecture, literature or people like you from whom I can learn something but influencers.... no.😊
I like fashion, I like to dress up, to wear nice clothes, elegant and romantic and I admit that sometimes it is hard to keep up with this because in general people nowadays dress very casual. But I like to put an effort😊.

Not only do I agree with you, but I follow mostly the same accounts. Some influencers and celebrities manage to slip through my feed somehow. I noticed the same pattern: brands put out a new trend or collection, send it to influencers and they suddenly all look the same. Let’s not even get into the so called hauls…

"Sometimes" is absolutely fine. Also, sometimes it's just fine to treat yourself with buying something nice but not essential to your wardrobe.

I don’t know how I’ve missed it but I didn’t realise wow has moved to discord. I am a student of wow- I’ve just checked my email but I don’t seem to have anything since last September.
Daria how can I access the discord group?

You can find the link to join Discord in the classroom or DM me. As for the emails, perhaps you unsubscribed? ☺️

“Parallel universe” ….that’s a great description of the celebrity bubble 🫧 I’ve not sought out news on the Met gala but have had some images served to me through social media. I’m aware it takes many stylists a very long time (and a lot of air miles) to design and create each look. So wasteful. I’m not sure why the celebrities each need to buy a ticket, as the sponsors pay a pretty penny too! I’ve got a podcast recommendation too - it’s called a Wardrobe Crisis
