I can relate to the wow course being ADHD-friendly.
Another part of ADHD is that you find it harder to apply “filters” to all the things you perceive in the world. This both makes us easier distracted, makes it harder to figure out our priorities, and I regularly feel so overwhelmed by all the inputs/options that I just shut down and try to run away from all the options out there.
Shopping was often like that for me, even though fashion is one of my special interests (something I know a lot about and can keep diving into with Pinterest moodboards etc). Whenever I would have enough dopamine/motivation to actually go and search for new clothes, I would look at every single item which would get overwhelming very quickly. Result being that I’d close my laptop with 50 clothing tabs open out of frustration.
Now having done the course (which indeed is wonderfully bite-sized), especially also thanks to my digital wow, I notice shopping is so much less taxing. Because of the wardrobe size calculations I know what specific items I need, and in what colours I would ideally like them in. Being able to know what I’m searching for allowed me to put these filters in while online shopping (iso looking at everything cause everything seems important), and I am so much less drained because of it now.
Long story short, thank you Daria, it’s been a pleasure

Thank you so much for sharing! Oana - the woman who I’ve talked to said exactly the same things as you. I have a feeling that many women have some for of ADHD without even knowing. And fashion just triggers us so much! I’m humbled to know I had some hand in helping you along your wardrobe journey 🤗

Thoroughly enjoyed this Daria and what a delight to “meet” your husband. Loved the setting for your conversation. The series has been a success imo and I hope there will be a series 2. Thanks to both of you for all your hard work and ever interesting, artful and educational content. Enjoy the festive season! 😃Deb

This was a wonderful insight into your evolution as a stylist. Your perspective has really helped me evolve my approach to fashion and like you I now struggle to buy new items knowing how much i already have. You pushed me in a comment to question why I found it so hard to resist buying and I realised it was a comment made by a school mate shaming me about my out of date outfit for a school fete. It really affected me and I still remember it all these decades later. But I have also remembered a comment from another acquaintance that noted how stylish but differently I dressed, i.e. not the like everyone else. I still struggle to identify my style but i know what I like and what works for me. What I am lacking now as i am not going into a workplace on a daily basis is ways to wear more of the things I love in my wardrobe.

Hi Daria. This interview summarises all what you have been saying between the lines in all the years since you started wow videos. You were never hiding about your development and that you bought fast fashion clothes or that you faced challenges. You always encouraged to take it slow and enjoy the progress instead of wanting to change all in one go. These aspect have always drawn me to your concept of the WOW and have always helped me when I felt discouraged in the progress. Guess it is now the right moment to thank you for that. I am looking forward to your future content and development. ❤
