during the 70's and early 80's, my family listened only to country & western, so i have a HUGE black hole of rock knowledge from my childhood. i knew BC wasn't from the 90's, and it did feel weird to say the 80's, but it didn't occur to me the song was that old! :)
Thanks for the runthrough and final thoughts videos! Obviously see the Machi Koro aspects of this. Moreover, the decision of creating the two pairs of dice (while knowing the hard-to-reach sums near/at 2 and 12 are more achievable) parallels with Sid Sackson's Can't Stop. Furthermore, using markers to complete heist cards is fairly similar to Rise Of Augustus. And holding majorities in loot types, coins to reroll or recruit, benefits/detriments to being ahead/behind the AI-ish police car, other things could be attributed to other games as well. I had and sold Machi Koro, now have Space Base. Space Base just seems a bit too complicated to teach and play with a lot of cards and decisions going on. (Especially utilizing the active vs passive aspects of each ship card, and when spending coins during the last phase of one's turn resets back to the income level.) Definitely will look further into Bad Company and My Farm Shop.
awsome game! highly recommended for families with kids, a must have, an instant classic I would say. It's more straight forward than space base, and there are no special rules for each card, like you have in Space Base, for example.
this looks really fun. Although I'm not really a fan of the art (which led me to skip the run-through in the first place), I'm glad I came back to look at this. Here's me hoping it doesn't take too long to get here. Sadly, Aporta (which I love) is a small publisher and it seems that in recent years the distribution of their games has been very slow (in NA at least)...as an example, the magnificent expansion hasn't even hit retail here. I ended up buying it overseas which meant paying for expensive shipping. I know it has nothing to do with this game, which I'm really excited for! Just wish they had a strong partnership in the US that allowed for their games to arrive sooner. Thanks for the run-through!
it was for sale at essen spiel last week. not sure how to get it now but you can contact the publisher here: www.aportagames.com/contact/ and i'm sure they can fill you in! :)
It's a song called Bad Company, from the band with the same name, and the year was 1974

After selling my copies of _Valeria: Card Kingdoms_ and _Space Base_ this seems like a must-have :)
I'd never sell Space Base, even with this around.

The only complaint I have is that this game is quite expensive in Canada for this genre. Thanks Richard.
I hope we can get it tomorrow at the SPIEL 🤞
would you compare it to space base? cause i like the gameplay of that game but not into space theme.
for my tastes, the gameplay here is superior to space base :)
how does this compare to My Farm shop?
both excellent, BC is lighter and faster (if you play MFS with the 'advanced modules' turned on) :)
Starkes Spiel!
Where can you buy this?

@Rahdo you cannot reroll in the last round.
funny coincidence, we rolled 4x1!! in last round 😂🤣😂🤣
