Lataratara is usually the sound of a filipino parent singing a lyric-less lullaby to their kids to comfort them or put them to sleep.
That's why it sounded so familiar and catchy! 😂
Latarata is just a lullaby hymn to this song, but if you dissect the word to La and Tara is something more than that. La is a slang word to mostly Filipinos means "come on" in a positive and inviting way. Tara means "Let's go" - to go somewhere adventure. Overall, it's like a commendable and happy journey.
I love how they pay tribute to their parents about this song. we love SB19💙
I heard that "Lataratara" is like a melodic lullaby that was sung by Pablo's grandma when he was young. Many says, it came from Spanish "La Tierra" which means the Earth or the Land.

It's a beautiful, beautiful heartfelt song. Can't listen to it without crying. Many say it is just a lyric video because the video is played out in the minds of people who love and look up to their parents. ❤ The animation however provides simple meaning to the song, like the boat transforming into a plane, soaring high and zooming in and out of the map, then going down and transforming back into a boat, sailing slow and steady this time, going back to where it came from. ❤️

Aside from the tune of the song , people love the way Pablo wrote the song because of its double meaning. The title MAPA has double meaning. Mapa in English is map. So it's like the parents are the guide of the children. Then, MAPA is a combination of mother and father. Ma came from Mama (Mother) and Pa came from Papa (Father).

If ever no one is telling you this, they have a new song released entitled GENTO. Gento is a world play of a Filipino word “ganito” which means “like this”. Also Gento for Gold which is “Ginto” in Filipino.

MAPA - is a tagalog word and called it MAP
It implies that our parents serve as our guidance and direction in life.
It’s rare to hear songs that is a homage to parents.
The two members singing the verses pertaining to the father never actually spent that much time with their fathers. Josh (the first one who sang the verse directed to Papa) never actually met his biological father. Ken met his dad, maybe twice because both his parents worked overseas and don’t get to come home often.
