  • In this episode of Cesar 911, I meet someone who has adopted her best friend's dog due to her tragically passing away. The dog, Leon, was at the scene when is owner Lisa passed away and had to be taken away abruptly. Ever since Leon has been adopted, he has had bad instances of aggression. I need to meet Leon to understand what is driving this aggression, whether that is trauma or something else. This dog needs to be rehabilitated before he is taken away.

As I barked butt butt butt 😆 and once he put a dogs face to the butt sniff. I was saying how I hope Cesars dog does not fart. Hahaha. Then I cried because it was so powerful and beautiful. I absolutely ADORE Cesar and his generosity and patience with the dogs he helps ... and the HUGE amount of patience he has dealing with the owners. I didn't have much hope for Caitlin, because EVERY time she was around Leon, she was TERRIFIED and kept hiding her face, whichonly added to Leon's anxiety. I almost expected Cesar to just keep Leon like he did with Holly.
    I am glad Caitlin finally "got it" and became the owner that Leon (AND Lisa) needed ❤

    It's frustrating seeing Caitlin CONSTANTLY agreeing with Cesar and nodding her understanding repeatedly, while STILL continuing the same stressed behavior. It's a primary example of understanding a problem _intellectually_ , but unable to apply a remedy. It really shows--LITERALLY, on her face, when she's stressed. We don't need to even be there, and we ALL felt it through the screen.
    I'm so glad she finally caught on that her (and the others) fearful energy, was a DIRECT cause of Leon's behavior...

    This was my favorite episode. It's (almost) always the humans that are the primary issue, but it's usually some negative trait like selfishness, laziness, anger, etc. In this case, though, it was simply grief. They couldn't help but grieve around Leon, and he read it as stress, causing him to feel the need to protect. Cesar was able to help them all, simply by helping them through the loss of their friend and daughter, keeping joyful memories but not putting the pain of the loss onto the dog. Beautiful episode.

      When my BFF was dying at home, her very over protective dog had everyone freaked. We were going to do a prayer of release and they wanted to lock him away. That wasn't fair, he was her angel. When everyone was settled he came in and was fine. What we do to dogs.... And when she passed and he came in to say goodbye when the room was empty, what passed between them was profound

I know that if people don't grow up around animals and then decide to buy a puppy when they have their own house, they don't usually know how to handle dogs and so they are at a higher risk of having an unbalanced dog. So guys, please do your research before you ever go and get a puppy and or a rescue dog.

    Dogs understand death! As a child 10yrs old, I would cycle to the cemetery with my Grandad, to care for family graves. I saw a tomb stone with an owner & dog memorial! I said to my Grandad " that's so sad, but lovely!" He told me the owner died in the late '70's & dog was adopted by friends. But, the dog kept escaping & was always found laying on his owners grave😢. Wk after wk, the same thing occurred! He was an old dog & stopped eating, so the vet put him down & he was buried with his owner! No one cared for the grave, so as a dog lover, I would weekly tend the grave in memory of this relationship! ❤ 🐕 ❤

    It’s quite simple. Anxious, tense owners make anxious, tense dogs.
    A lot of owners don’t realize that they are making their dogs the way they are. Especially in this case, if you are always sad and grieving around your dog, your dog will feel that and respond negatively to those emotions. It’s like when mothers act a certain way around their children, and their children pick up on it and act out.

    • @lagottessa
      @lagottessa 4 месяца назад +1

      Well it's not quite that "simple". Like Cesar says in the beginning - it is an anxious dog. The owner's grief and anxiousness made it worse, but it's not like it was a happy-go-lucky dog to begin with. Dogs have personalities just like humans.
