Nothing but facts spoken here by turkish stricto and chris hudson here. All those fans who talk about standards forget that the position we were in a few years ago. The club was in absolute mud. We never challenged for a league title since invincible season let alone winning it and the whole fanbase was divided and lost in hope. Arteta came and rebuild this club from such a diabolical position to now a position that we are challenging for title with the best league team ever played in the premier league in man city. Look at how the other managers with big names have come to other clubs and absolutely flopped and made them worse like chelsea man utd spurs. They are far away from competing let alone winning the league. Trophies are gonna come soon at arsenal especially when pep will also leave city in 1-2 yrs and we will create our own domination in league with arteta.

In relation to the discussion regarding Declan Rice and how he should be best deployed for the team, what is either misunderstood or simply overlooked is that he was being operated as both a defensive midfielder and a box to box midfielder, as opposed to a defensive and central midfielder which was implied by having been tagged as a number 6 or 8.
Midfield play comprises quite a multitude of facets, and to this end a central midfielder typically has a different protocol to that of a box to box midfielder.
Rice's fluid ball winning ability whether he's relatively static or in transit, as well as strong ball carrying and intelligent pass selection or option to shoot, is why I believe Arteta wants to develop him even further in that box to box role in order to try and give the team the closest thing we've seen to a Patrick Vieira, our best ever box to box midfielder.
So anyway as for everyone else who isn't trying to be a football scientist tryhard-ing to overcomplicate the game Rice is not an 8 he's stiff & not good in the final third, can't play an incisive pass to save his life. However he's an elite 6/DM and that's where he should play or we won't be winning anything of real note anytime soon. Cheers.
@@patchh15Elite DMs can play on the turn under pressure deep and make incisive passes. He isn’t elite, but his gas tank works well as an 8. He is elite in a multitude of attributes, but isn’t quite an 8 or 6. He would thrive in a system that suits him.

I like this show but I cannot agree with what they are saying about putting up with seasons being dragged though the mud under wenger Honestly I enjoyed every season under wenger and even if we didn’t win a trophy his commitment to attacking play and playing brilliant football will never be forgotten by me that’s for sure.
Aftv members have long lost their authenticity seemingly in an effort to change the long held perception of them being ultranegative in the past.

Frenkie De Jong, Joao Neves (after selling Partey), Ousmane Diomande, & Lukaku (Shocker) but he is a handful & looked good at Roma.
If we can’t get De Jong I want Mikel Merino.

There’s so many moving parts and variables in a season. Not only in ours but also in our rivals seasons. So many what if’s and it’s just lazy and ignorant to say that a better striker would have won us the leauge. The false 9 is integral in our system and that might not work with a out and out striker.

I think you could be onto something there mate, Arteta likes VERSATILITY in our team, most players at our club can play 2 positions on the pitch and a few of them can even play more than 2.

People also seem to forget that we need cover for Odegaard and not just Saka. And that there are situations and games where Arteta might want to deploy 2 nr 10 in front of Rice. Eze and Doue is a perfect mix AM and wing, Prem proven and top tier talent

Rice is not a 6 in arteta system everytime he played as a 6 we struggled to progress to the ball from the back to the front because rice doesn’t make risky passes he likes playing it safe.
