I can't believe I actually found this!! I don't remember the circumstances or who was watching it, but at one point I saw the first scene where the little boy gets pulled under the water. That was a core memory for me, and still pops up every now and then in my mind. As a child I was so scared for the longest time of something being in the pool, which evolved into being terrified of our bathtub and the sound it made when it leaked. An article recently popped up about the similarities between this episode and the new movie Night Swim that's coming out soon. I never thought I'd actually find out what this scene was from! This is insane 😅
same, its because the villain actually looked scary and the story as well done unlike some of the more cheesy tales in the series, there are a few that hold up well even by today's standards and this episode was one of them
Casual reminder that despite this being the scariest episode of the entire series the vote to let Stig in was not unanimous. Poor dude more than earned it and they were a tough crowd.
Here in Coven Tree we're no strangers to magic. I'm not talking about the rabbit-from-a-hat or coin-up-the-sleeve variety, either. I...''mean real magic. Witches heavier abounded in this part of New England since colonial days, when Cotton Mather held his witched trials in Salem to be rib of theme.
U know what they should make yuigoh cards out are u are afraid of the dark like the midnight Society the characters from there story's and the monsters as well.
I remember this episode very vividly and it freaked me out so bad.😂 But I loved this show so much

For anyone who did not know, this creature is an actual legend in Japanese folklore! It’s called, no seriously, the water ghost.

For like a whole summer after watching this episode, I looked at pools and said "no thanks, I'm not in the mood to swim today. OR EVER."
