It never had it IRL. That's why the pilots in WT are using the ZSH-5 as their helmet model, even though that's also incorrect. My guess is that Gaijin devs are just too lazy to go into Blender and remove the Shchel-3UM from the ZSH-7, which is the helmet they should be using.

Beyond that if they let us make servers that have guns only, guns + fox2, +fox3 ect would make for some interesting game play. Ir missle only servers would really get the fight off the deck. I’ve noted a lot more evening, sun low in the sky battles, with heavy cloud in the last couple of weeks. Not night, but it was near impossible flying a Phantom with its tinted windshield and POS LCOSS gunsight having zero visual cues for flying the aircraft!

ТП means Тепловизионный Поиск, which definitely means "IR scanning". This indicates that air-air IR scanner is working (m29, su27 have this thing), but lol, su-34 doesn't have optical scanner. This must be a mistake from devs. Well, Тепловизор is just one word, so Russians would call it ТПВ or something.
Whats the point of the SU-34 without the Grom-1? I dont get it at this point. Pretty funny how they have it setup where the F15 and now the A10C will be able to just click on 10 targets and bomb them, but they remove a critical weapon for the SU-34 just because ppl can destroy 1 base from far away. They take so long to get there, someone else would probably destroy the base before the grom even gets there.
You mean just because people can spam bases ONE minute after takeoff in the biggest map in the game, however I don't support removing the weapon, I support making the game ready for such weapons, by increasing map sizes from max 131km x 131km to max 500km x 500km, by changing bases locations and making some positive changes to modes and rules in top tier air battles.

I mean, in DCS i was able to get rid of those VMUs if i don't fly below 1000ft or performing rough manoeuvres. even it was not that anoying for hear some blah blah перегруска. As it is, the game is comically underwhelming gameplay wise. Little or no diversity; the same formula we’ve been playing since the game came out. WT needs better PVP and PVE experiences to keep up with all the new technology, otherwise you end up with 16v16 spamram and spawn to spawn tank sniping. If you think gameplay like that is fun, and if most others agree, and that is the direction gaijin desires WT to go in, then you’re right. This game is not for me.

They gave us custom sights for tanks, so they might do that for planes and let us customize plane UI\HUD and TGP.

The thermal camera is the IR seekerhead of the KH-38MT, the Su-34 doesn't get thermals on it's integrated pod, and doesn't have a external one.
