Got around to wearing my decant of this again last night and today. I'm an amber and iris lover. I like rose, too. I'm not a big powder fan, and I don't feel overwhelmed by it here. But I tested it with my friend's nose to my skin, and she declared it too powdery for her. I also know that based on her tastes, she'd prefer to smell like someone rubbed unwashed vetiver roots all over her skin and nothihg more, so do what you will with that information. I'd really like to spray rather than dab this on my skin, but my sample doesn't allow it. I feel like Even so, I love it. In addition to the amber and floral, there is in the opening something discordant, not disruptive, just slightly angular and deep. It is the sense I get when Angelica is a primary note, but I've not seen any briefs that say it's here actually in the mix.
It could be that some of the top notes have faded away. That tends to happen even faster with small samples I’ve noticed. But indeed, spraying is a better option. Did you manage to get a sprayer for it yet?

I think you may have convinced me i need a spray bottle of the vintage even if the clearer, citrus notes might fade.
