Is Amtrak having issues with the Chargers or is not all the engineers been through the training to operate them? The reason I ask is because I have seen several clips from Virtual Railfan with P42's leading and the Chargers trailing in the last month or so. Great video BTW!!!
Thank you for watching, and the kind comment! The new Chargers are HORRIBLE in cold weather; they fail all they time, and are riddled with problems. So much so that trains have gotten stranded, and people were freezing on the train. This has been going on for a year now, yet little has happened to resolve it. It's tied to the tier four requirements, and something with the DEF when it gets cold. Even with all these issues, Amtrak has ordered MORE of these problematic units. It's not a good situation.
Help us Amtrak & politicians to get passenger trains going in Ohio 3C corridor, a direct southern route from the Midwest: Detroit-Toledo-Dayton/Cincy-Lexington-Knoxville-Atlanta, & service from Atlanta-Savannah-Jacksonville!!!
Nice compilation of the Amtraks!
Glad you liked the video! Amtrak is perfect for a compilations video; short, fast trains, and lots of action.
Awesome Amtrak compilation video from this part of the country. Enjoyed watching and have a nice rest of your evening.(Steve)
Awesome!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!
Nice catches!
Six engines! Taking no chances there 😰
Truth to that, especially when half of those are the new ones which don't do well in the cold. Thanks for watching!
