I am not sure what is available in your area. Our QCS System is unique and there isn't anything really comparable. If you email us at customerservice@stripwell.com, we can provide a shipping quote for your consideration.

I realize it is a throwaway, but I would have put the violin on a thich towel to avoid abrading the underside of the work piece.

Yes - if this was an actual restoration project, more precautions would have been taken for sure.

There are no stripping, recoloring with another color than yellow, red, brown or black. No varnish scraping in a good classical violin. But for a cheap violin which it won't be played on concert or just for fun, this is ok

    What about wearing gloves?

Our QCS System is so safe, gloves are not really necessary. We recommend that users simply use some yellow house-cleaning latex gloves to be extra safe if they have concerns (not nitrile), but there is nothing harmful to the average user. Someone with sensitive skin or allergies should use extra caution.
