Overpriced is going to be a no. The bezels are gross but that's kinda what comes with the price. Same goes for battery life. Performance isn't important to the target demographic for this phone because those people would buy actual flagships.

@@thedster1239 the whole lineup sucks. The 8a is pure trash. 8 and 8 pro are good but they have awful chipset compared to apple or Samsung. Plus also Google has the worst price drops .
I bought 8a just becuse of the bezles. Every phone i had with slim bezles i slap Otterbox defender case on it to get bigger bezles. I like chunky big bezles

Bro even 180$ phones have 93.3% screen to body ratio. Atleast they could have made less bessels at this price range. And it's not midrange there are lot of flagship phones out there with the same exact price.

For these guys every phone is PRETTY GREAT
They have average salary more than 5000 dollar per month, so it's 10 percent of their salary but in India 95 percent people earn less than 50 dollar per month, RS 40k is too much for us only some govt employees and some good private post offers salary more than 40k Indian rupees.
Everything depends on financial status of country, for them bmw is just a brand of car , in India only ultra rich can afford cheapest BMW model available.

Yes, $500 is nothing. You must not be aware of what the typical price of products people actually want to buy is. The iPhone is up at $800, and Samsung's S23 isn't much lower than that.

I'm from a "third world country" and $500 for me is very cheap... Considering that here in Costa Rica all things are expensive lol. I bought my Google Pixel 8 Pro from US for that reason XD

I've had my 4a for about 3-4 years now is it worth the upgrade? Mine still runs fine I feel but it does bug out. Calls don't show up on the screen for 3-4 rings, it frequently "gets stuck" n I have to restart it. I loveee this phone so just wanted to see if it's worth it or should I stick it out n deal lol.

That's a shitty phone for the price range over here in India. It costlier than S23 base variant and in similar price of iphone 13-14. And yes don't forget about heating issues and lack of performance
If you buy it through Google's Google Fi phone service it's only $250. I just ordered it last night and after shipping and taxes it cost me $316.
I bought this recently, and it's the quickest trade-in I've ever done. I've used Android phones since the Samsung Galaxy 3. But I despise that Google don't allow for the reordering of the navigation buttons. That's been a basic feature with every Android phone I've used so far. It's stupid to be like this with such a trivial thing, but it's permanently ingrained in my muscle memory now. I thought Google phones would offer more freedom with customisation than others, not less.
Meanwhile is 599 eur in Finland!

Look like low range overprice phone
Just taken delivery of mine. Had a 7a before. The new 8a feels similar but FAR more refined and smooth with the 120 hz display and curved edges. Love it.

Yeah the heat this phone is getting for the bezel is overblown. You don’t really notice or care once you’re actually using the phone.

Most people put a case on it which effectively adds bezels anyway.

I’m not sure if this is true for the 8a but the 8 and 8 pro as of now are not compatible with Cricket Wireless because of a software bug this can be fixed with a software update from google but again as of now that doesn’t seem to be google’s top priority so that update release could range from today to never.
This bezel has too much phone on it!
