Todd McFarlane is the best inker I'm my opinion. I have traced his and other artists work, but left out the inks and oh man it's a completely different piece after Todd inks it. Whether it's Robs work or even the shadowhawk piece he inked for Valentino. Best inker.
Time saver on the hair lines, then some tips on the cell phone part of the drawing. The zoom out is great everything seems to combine fine, and still look nice.
The details do come through when you're reading it. Manga is an even smaller page size, but since it doesn't usually have any color or even shading, the do the same thing where it's drawn bigger and printed smaller.
Hey Todd can you point me in the direction for high resolution scans? these days I really want to keep my work traditional and my portfolio is starting to build up a little bit but it's hard to fly high res scanning... thanks for your time my friend
I'd imagine you have to be a bit more careful with your lines and darker shading too? Seem's like digital allows artists to take risks and just delete or highlight later easily. I know nothing but I'm fascinated :)
@@RyanJamesOfficial yeah. Its a great tool. There are some purists who will say its cheating. People like Quentin Tarantino who only film with 30mm instead of digitally. And thats great. But the technology has allowed so many artists to do they're work easily. Think of it like this, the easier it is, the faster we get content. Its win-win.
That's right Todd.. I really can't count the number of times I found myself stuck in a single panel of spawn, just admiring every little detail...
So much work and care that goes into it! I had an idea but I didn't really consider the full extent of the work. Love it Todd, keep it up :)
Love ya Todd, I can't sit through a video without getting amped up about drawing something of my own
funny, you holding up that crow quill. today i was trying to find a video of you from back in the day inking with one. love your style.

didnt know that Spawn was digitally inked. I wonder is going digital the norm in the business?
I still use pen and paper, but digital is great for detail. Those white highlights are a mother fucker to do on paper.
