still Is mods are coming out still long after like non valve entropy zero 2 I highly recommend but this game and it's series is my favorite of all time I bought an older laptop I'm revamping. maxing the ram adding a SATA SSD drive to it this week the only thing I'll miss is the ability for a graphics card but for these games we don't need antenna crazy. ram is so I can plan other stuff mainly and multi task I'm at 6gb and decent with that. it's like I'm really running 4gb because of the windows 10 update but honestly with 16 if the computer does what it says it can hold and thats 16 I can play these mods that add heavier stuff and. record.. I love shorts of hl2 it's like I'm doing a mini walkthrough but with shorts. I don't usually post videos my internet takes forever on that actually so... but I think I'm gonna do a ravenholm walk through. one of the most fun parts of the game lol. EP 2 this video is beautiful I like this mmod and the other mixed where do I get these and what is needed to run them especially this

I just know I beat the striders whereas now with the hunters it's very hard I need to bind my +console adds so much other games don't just have that+ pistol to a button and just do the thing easilly before that thing falls off... bam stick shoot go. the ending was an epic battle if they did that in hl2 like I'd be so like wtf lol but the striders in the city are a challenge not the same tho. much more easier and stuff than when with those hunters. I Revere the hunter... it's like. ok rocket or pulse or 4 magnum shots it's done 3 maybe if in the head. normal difficulty I abandoned the car but I do like it by the base kinda so I can ram the hunters if all the backup does and buildings get destroyed which usually inlet them get close so I can hit the strider from behind but when you got 3 coming it's crazy. this video too has flown by he played fast fast fast. it's not long but still.
To make a series of games this good that are universally loved and celebrated and then to not finish the story especially after leaving on such a major cliffhanger. Also to just leave everyone in the dark for years was literally my villain origin story. Im in my thirties and im still mad about it lol.
i think there are alot of people really mad about that. Mad about getting a masterpiece served. mad about getting a great a appertizer, an even greater Main course and then the server tells you that the desert "might be on its way" you sit there while wondering. you just know the desert will be great. You dont know what the desert will be but you know they only gave you the best of the best. Now we are all sitting there for a long while wondering if our desert is even comming. The food was absolutely great and we can go on without the desert... but we still wonder and we wait.
They're going to make a Half-Life 3 someday, trust me. Too much money in it not to, and I'm sure there are some people at Valve who want to bring the story closure.
idk man, I think the cliffhanger ending to Episode 2 broke an entire generation of people. I remember crying myself to sleep several times after remembering that ending and that we never got a continuation to the story. Recently I read through Epistle 3 and discovered the Half Life 2 Beta, and that helped fill the void left by Episode 2, especially when you consider that Half Life 2, Episode 1, and Episode 2 are just expanded retellings of the original Half Life 2 Beta storyline, with Episode 3 being based mostly on the Borealis and Kraken Base story bits from the Beta. And besides, knowing the original planned ending to Episode 3, it probably wouldn't have been that much better than the cliffhanger left by Episode 2.
I am finishing up yet another replay of the HL2 games. All of them are treasures, and the battle at the end against the Hunters and Striders may be the most insane battle I have ever played in all my years of gaming.
the new ui looks soo good, especially 14:51 I LOVE the new hev suit feedback about toxin and morphine. I really wish they make something like this for the next half life game

I have such fond memories of the splash screen starting up with the Valve bald head with the faucet in it. So many great games, half-life, half-life 2, portal, portal 2 and just recently portal 2 rtx.
I never get tired from playing Half-Life games and always looking for good mods for them and there are so many out there and that is why this game keeps on going because of the support for it 👍👍
I just wish it would be redone with Unreal 5.2+ :) Still love HL2, these days on the XBOX X and an 8K screen. It was awesome on my PC back when I downloaded it from Steam on a dial up connection the night it was released, lol.
I always believed Cinematic Mod worked wonders for episode 2. When the over the top foliage was actually put to use in environments that were intended to be filled with greenery, it added a lot of detail that doesn't feel like bloat.
I just played though the whole game and also Black Mesa again, they are one of the best FPS games ever made, I hope they make this in Unreal 5 sometime, would be great with even more realistic graphic!

You can choose to paint over some walls if they are faded and be done with it. ( like a remake ) Or take some walls down and rebuild it to your liking with an extension or a new kitchen if you want. ( like a remastered ), BUT the foundation and most of the construction of the original house ( mo-cap ) has to stay intact, or the house will collapse. Thats what they did here. They kept the motion capture acting, but changed and improved the set and characters with newer, up to date graphics and lightning use mod will without to do that with a remake. That was only re-painting the walls with the same color. Now they renovated the whole building use mod rebuilt the games on a whole engine change or new engine which makesd, Let me explain it in a simpler way without comparing with other games
I didn't like the story or atmosphere of episode 2 but gameplay wise, it is the GOAT of the entire franchise. In terms of story Half Life 2 is the best, Episode 1 has the best atmosphere, Half Life 1 is great in everything and Opposing Force is the most diverse.
Played the 1st in 1999 then all the way through all episodes and Addons …but at the end of the day ya can’t polish a turd …you can only roll it in glitter . Needs a new engine and a full revamp ❤️

Like drive and hit hunter killing him. ..most stupid thing is that NPC stoots dozens of rockets to stridera and they dont receive any damage
Ask God, he's the only one who just might be able to overcome the tech hell required to play these mods at home. Ask instead why they that make these clever mods aren't clever enough to create mods that mere humans can download and play?
