But now we would never learn or know that since she is unfortunately killed with Gordon being helpless to save her and the other two scientists. First reaction, Dude you took that cover art image of Gordan getting strangled and made it move! I was pretty wowed there at 15:44 nice work and detail. Also surprisingly you put in every major moment I can remember from that chapter. Also you did a great job of keeping Gordan quiet but also getting a better idea of whats on his mind. The callback to the first chapter when he saw that lady he liked fall to her death as well as the Noo part was icing on the cake. You did a great job and creatively making each scene a more impactful and interesting. Like how Gordan slowly becomes more accustomed to fighting, even letting the security guard do most the work during the first encounter just like any normal scientist would. The click as he runs out of bullets, the way he's moving in the shadows getting thrown around and freaking out over each new alien encounter.
Anyway great job, you even fixed his walking problem which was a hilarious thing for the first part but would have been totally off putting for this stealthy horror episode. If there is only one big complaint on my mind is that some of the game voice acting is pretty flat and unfortunately there isn't much you can do about that. I’ve always assumed the reason why Gordon doesn’t talk in-game is because he’s completely terrified shitless and is more focused on not getting ganked. Which makes sense since Gordon’s just a scientist in a HEV suit with an incredible amount of luck, considering he doesn’t have the military training that Adrian Shepard had. Another spectacular episode man! I love how terrified you managed to make Gordon, especially with his eyes. The fact that he still does press on is a testament to how heroic he is, in spite of all the fear he must be feeling. Also, the amount of sweat on his face reminds me of the last half hour of Alien when the Nostromo crew are being pursued by the Xenomorph haha (in the best way possible). You have a great eye for the cinematic. I loved how most of the shots in this chapter are seemingly from the perspective of someone..or someTHING that is watching/stalking Freeman. Gives a sense of it being grounded, but also adds a spookiness factor.
I didn't know how anyone could've made that elevator sequence even more sad; then you went ahead and added the woman he first saw back in Episode One into the lift. Damn ye ;(
I also liked how you envisioned the first Houndeye encounter, with Freeman narrowly avoiding death. You really emphasized how difficult the journey for him must be in "real-life". That G-man appearance through the mirror was also a cool way to respect the way he appears in the game while also being a sneaky reference to Enter the Freeman ;)
The standout sequence for me is the entire sewer section from 15:16 to 17:03 . You transformed a short and easy section of the chapter into a tense and claustrophobic encounter. I was especially impressed by how you depicted Gordon getting strangled by the barnacle. Harkens back to that old HL2 concept art that we all know and love. Finally, that crowbar to the head at 16:53 is such a great end to the sequence. I feel like if this was shared with a live audience, that moment would've elicited applause and chuckles.

    This was great!
Also love that at 4:34 it shows that Gordon can talk and that's he's not mute.
It's my personal headcanon that Gordon went through a trauma prior to Black Mesa, hence why he doesn't talk all that much. Maybe it even has something to do with the picture of the baby in his locker? Then again I'm just theorizing here.
Can't wait for the next episode.

I know it's already been said, but the amount of emotion that, not just Gordon, but every character shows is incredible. I can't believe you're doing this as a one-man team, it's so high quality. The sound design, the framing of the shots, everything is perfect. I absolutely loved the absolute intensity of the destruction. It felt so intense and real and claustrophobic, and the way Gordon reacts is so vivid and realistic.
