Be careful of those vent pipes in the summer. I totaled my rzr while driving through a field with tall grass. Couldn’t see it until I was on top of it. My reaction was to turn and plug the brakes. I ended up transferring all of my momentum into the right front wheel (where it hit). Shattered the rim and bent the frame.
Good to know! I know there are a few in the area, I think someone mentioned some have been cut down to a lower height, which makess them much more of a hazard. Sucks on rzr.
New subscriber, great video! I noticed around 32 seconds that it appears you drove past a former bridge. Possibly a railroad bridge at one time. Will have to check out this location in the near future.
Thank you for watching and subscribing. Yes Ashland and much of the famous reading outdoors always surprises with new things that you see as you drive on new trails! Maybe we will see you out there soon!
I would have to say my fondness for Mount Carmel has grown not only because of the hills but because you can also connect to ashland south and Locust Gap. But there has been some clear cut and tree removal so that may change as well but we pay for the land we don’t pay for the trees right? I’m happy to hear that you enjoy the videos thank you for watching it here and we’re also on Facebook beaten Trail!
Actually there is no parking spot when going to MT Carmel - one must park at Ashland North and drive over to MtC or from Locust Gap to Mtc (recommended, but we also have a video showing you from ash north to Mtc) here: ruclips.net/video/8AT9ScYhJ9A/видео.html
if you could add a map of the trails it would be helpfull, new up there and just ride around darkwater, there map to me is poor and no signage. thanks.
I don't have them for all, but I try and record the map trails (just the ones we ride, not the entire map) on On-X, so if that's something that would help, I can work on that for future rides. I suggest using Maprika and download the maps online before your trip - they're pretty good! (for the FRO Contiguous south areas and north). Drop me a note in IG or FB, I can help you out a bit. Once you get using the maps maprika and ONX works well, but FRO doesnt have addresses for all parking areas, just coordinates, so I have most of them recorded. I am working on an episode on mapping, devices and mounts.
Yes I do! We ride up 117 cantawissa ashland, pa and up into the parking area. Many trails you have to dig for, and of course, Centralia is adjacent, once you see the trash dumped you know you're near, sadly. From Ashland S you can go to Mt. Carmel and then Locust gap. I have another how-to video on how to get to MT C from Ash S parking lot.
Thank you! Glad you enjoy. There is no legal way to ride from Ash S to Ash N. You'd have to go through town, sadly. So, you'll have to trailer it. If someone else is aware of a roundabout trail which might provide such a solution, please post here. If so it would be a long way around if not through town.
I would say some of the trails you could fit without issues. Just there are some tight spots which only a 60-64 or more narrow could fit. The Ashland-north to Mt Carmel route out of the parking area would not be suitable for a jeep width. For Jeep areas, I think Ashland South has more width clearance, or Locust Gap to Mt Carmel, and Burma I would say has a lot more of full-size access.
@@TheBeatenTrail Good information. Thank you. I was looking on FRO's website and maprika for any indication for jeep access and couldn't find anything concrete. Glad I found your channel, I appreciate it.

Awesome videos!!!! They really helped me decide where to bring my kids riding. Keep up the great work
Glad you enjoyed them - we’re gonna work on some other Pennsylvania trails now that we’ve completed famous Reading outdoors. Thank you for watching!
My favorite trails at FRO. We ussually start here and ride to Locust gap and back in a big circle. No hitting the same trail twice to come back.
I really enjoy Ashland and we did hit Locust Gap but need too see more. so much to ride and see!
Thanks for making this video. Very helpful.
You're welcome! Glad you enjoyed!
Great review! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
Great Video! Looks like a decent spot for the full size guys also...
Yes, you are correct! Just found some trails which would not fit, but there were many open trails for full size.
Makes me more excited to check this out this summer
Something new in every FRO location, we're psyched to visit the rest of them and do reviews!
Awesome video! Looks like a great place to ride.
Thanks, it is!
Awesome shots bro😀
Thank you so much 😀 I hope to have more of the FRO zones reviewed in the future.
Amazing!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
Thank you for your videos! Which is your favorite spot at FRO from what you have seen so far?

@@TheBeatenTrail Awesome, I'll have to try that one next! Only have made it to darkwater, Burma, 901, St. Kierans.
@@TheBeatenTrail Do you happen to have an address I can plug in waze to take us to Mt. Carmel spot you are talking about? Parking area.

Awsome video! Do you unload off of catawissa drive? I live 2 miles outside of Ashland and didn’t think it was this nice!

Well done. Any group rides coming up?
Yes! We will be riding Darkwater 930am Saturday 4/3 and 4/4 is TBD if we do. Join us!
Did you ride? I’m about 190 miles away but would love to join you. Just need more notice. Sorry.
Great video fellas! Question- do you have to trailer from north to south or can you ride in between?

Nice trails!
They are!
Would you say these trails are accessible to jeeps or small trucks?

Glad to help! Working on St Kierans, 901 and Trevorton reviews in the weeks ahead.
Will this trailhead take you to graffiti Highway in Centralia?
Yes Centralia is adjacent to this property.
