Lagan has already done work here
I worked with them on the Sangster international airport runway extension project. They were the contractors.

The problem at Port Bustamante is a massive drainage project is required.

I am skeptical of UK USA AND Canada getting contract to build infrastructure in Jamaica….UK say that the highway could not build in Jamaica because of hills but the Chinese build it….the USA get free land and almost 40 years tax free on the north coast Jamaica have to pay for the highway which now needed widening …the Chinese is doing a good job….. do we need those over pricing people here

I hope they fix Bog Walk bidge and all the roads by the low line rivers. They should also put good road going to Milk River Bath. That's the only thing I fear in Jamaica. Those briges are deadly when rain falls.

I’m convinced that there is something big, much bigger than we could ever imagine, that will hit Jamaica’s economy by storm, that will stun the world.
According to United Oil and Gas, just a few days ago, announced that their own data has confirmed that Jamaica is sitting on as much as 7B barrels of oil. When the figure was 2.5B barrels, that would’ve placed us just below the UK At #30 of countries with proven Oil reserves, Just imagine the revised numbers.
I am appealing to our people get on board, position yourself for this great move of God that is approaching, God nah sleep! The time has come. let us believe again in this great nation we call Jamaica.
Please do a video on this announcement a few days ago, you’re the best at this brother.

Now the country will loose a lot of money.

@@eileenwatt8283 Jamaica is seeking to become a "republic" via separationof powerwhike totally ignoring the similar importance of spatial DIVISION OF ADMINISTRATIVE POWER. It's current UNITARY spatial structure of centralizing ALL taxes and planning responsibilities in Kingston is a DYSFUNCTIONAL monarchical colonial model of governance that is NOT endemic of republicanism (re: decentralized power disteibution to the people/grassroots communities).
Centralizing all effective local government operations via Parliament/central government is the ANTITHESIS of SPATIAL DEMOCRACY. Why then waste $billions of taxpayer money on sub utilized parish based municipal corporations if you're going to run local government out of Kingston.
To promote more efficient and grassroots cost effective local government Jamaica needs to move away from its post Morant Bay Rebellion structured Crown Colony UNITARY centralized local government and towards a selectively decentralized model of FISCALLY and TECHNICALLY empowered regional county councils to strengthen the resource smaller/weaker parish based municipal corporations. These three county councils would be run collectively by a county based board of municipal mayors (supported by grassroots community focused county planning agencies (using some central government human resources) to bring sophisticated/well paying government jobs to properly develop rural Jamaica. Kingston is holding back the development of many area across rural Jamaica. For example, look how long it's taking government to properly maintain and use the Trelawny Stadium and the Montego Bay Stadium??? The Cornwall Regional Hospital fell into disrepair because of bureaucratic neglect from a distant Kingston centric government. In fact, the COUNTY OF CORNWALL REGIONAL HOSPITAL should have been maintained by a county of Cornwall Regional board of governors under the oversight of a Cornwall County council. THAT'S EFFECTIVE LOCAL GOVERNMENT!
By the way...Jamaica is the ONLY British Caribbean territory to have been deemed large enough spatially and population wise to be divided and subdivided into counties and parishes like mother England. This was done for spatial administrative efficiency...a realiry lost on the selfish/power hungry, colonial minded Jamaican Parliamentary politicians...!
