The system is failing as a result of both government and federal policy. In the next days, the banking crisis would have to be epic and gigantic for the FED to decide not to raise interest rates. This won't happen; an increase and a crash are coming. There will be more negative portfolios this 2nd half of 2024 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?

Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass up to $1m amid crisis, and even pull it off easily in a favourable economy. Unequivocally, the bubble/collapse is getting somebody somewhere rich.
With the US dollar losing value to inflation and other currencies gaining traction, uncertainty looms. Yet, many still trust in the dollar's perceived safety. Worried about my $420,000 retirement savings losing value, I seek alternative security for my money.

It took from January 2009 until March 2013 for the Dow Industrials to regain its previous high. It then started a string of 50 new highs in 2013 and 38 in 2014. The Dow reached new highs the remaining two years while he was in office and another one in his last month.

The overvaluation of real estate is not just residential; it’s commercial. Thus a company with a large brick and mortar valuation increase as well. A building worth $2 mil is essentially overvalued at $4-5 million. When market correction kicks in the overvalued stocks will plummet. Causing havoc. Not to note the FED changed the definition of “recession” does not mean it’s not a recession in the traditional sense.

I'm the mean time my disability pension from the VA has risen at 3% per year. I will never get back to the purchasing power I had in ,,2020
