I m thinking,because people back then where not really ecudated ,the Kuen Kuit was really misunderstood and passed down to next generations,slowly degenerating the knowledge of the art.Secret gives another meaning from the word sacred
In dealing with traditional "Chinese Martials" masters, MOST enjoy secrecy to make researchers and students "clamour-for-the- glamour" of being the so-called, "closed door student"..."Masters" are VERY aware of this "human weakness !"..That is by accruing techniques and "belonging to a secret cult or club"...YOU, the devout "follower'" would be the "baddest mofo on the block..!" The masters KNEW this, and could add "techniques and maneuvers", (real or made up) That the "master" learned... in the caves of Shaolin monks hiding from soldiers !!😅😅😅 How would you REALLY know ?
