Except if you have caretakers or helpers come in, they expect to be paid. On a limited income, sometimes creates the situation.
This is so sad. My condolences to the man's family. I dont know what was going on behind their doors that tragically ended a life. I wish one of them would have reached out to someone for help or left. 😢 CHECK IN ON YOUR FAMILY OFTEN.

Everyone has their breaking point, and caring for an elderly person,who might have even had some dementia, can test you to your limits. God bless them both.

I believe she is a sweet lady who was most likely exhausted. The other thing that I just experienced is how elderly people who have health issues can become erratic due to medication. It’s not easy to care for them, especially when they get violent. People always say that there is help, society forgets about the elderly. They do not get much support and to put someone in a home, it costs money.
Even a UTI can make someone not act like their self. My mom had that happen, and the Aides at her facility were telling me, they knew something was wrong because my mom was always warm and friendly, no trouble. Glad they called me so I could get the ball rolling.

You can be a killer at any age. She was 75 taking care of an 81 year old. They both needed a caregiver. She snapped because she was tired and I know the feeling. I’m 54, tired ,and ready to snap.
Please talk to someone who you can express your feelings to before you act on them.

The " snapping" thing is crap. Anger builds up over time. It doesn't suddenly happen.
We never know what life is really like for couples in their private life. It's quite possible that he was a very cruel person and this was her snapping.
