The device you called a vocoder doesn't seem to be vocoding at all it looks like its tracing pitches of harmonics and playing oscillators on each harmonic, creating an additive effect. The other device is a FFT vocoder, there's guys out there like MMorph and Zynaptic Morph, but none of them offer a pitch quantize option. Hope that helps!
those 3 m4l device are alexander panos' signature sounds. these are his max patch that he have been devloping over the years. also vocoder uses multiple bandpass filters to apply one sounds frequency content to another sound. timbre resynth use fft to analyse input sound's harmonics/partials and reconstruct the sound using (normally) sine waves or like this device extract timbre (waveform or zero crossing) from another input , which creates a cleaner spectral sound rather than phase shifted watery vocoder sound.
