first things first! it's not useful to anyone to over-promise and under-deliver. Verizon and AT&T are 100% CDMA. I believe T-Mobile still operates some GSM base stations. So, if you can get your hands on a Fairphone and can use T-Mobile, do it!
Or, do the next best thing. Keep your existing phone for longer. And the next one you buy, keep that one for longer, too. That way, as they say in the video, you are reducing the problem by 50%.
