    Awesome! It's okay that the first Fairbuds were not repairable, the first Fairphone was not either. It was made with fairtrade materials. Still, it would've been better for Fairphone's reputation if the first Fairbuds were repairable. A lot of people now have crazy ideas about Fairphone.

    Incredible. Even the batteries inside the buds itself are replaceable. I never thought this was possible.
    Bluetooth earbuds basically being designed as a disposable gadget has always been my main gripe.
    All rechargeable batteries will inevitably degrade. Since the buds & batteries are so small, it's unusable once its degraded and it's unrepairable. These buds ain't cheap!, yet companies force people to throw the entire thing away.
    My next TWS buds will for sure be Fairbuds.

    The core being seprate from the case is genius, that way it isn't broken when the hinge fails.

    I can't imagine you pulled this off. This solves the biggest problem with TWS earbuds. All batteries die eventually and until now, pretty much all earbuds have just gone to waste after that, creating enormous amounts of e-waste and forcing people to buy new ones every few years. Thank you.

    I'm very happy to see this. It addresses so many of the criticisms of the last ones. Still not in the market for wireless earphones as I still use wired ones, but now I feel like there is a safe option for me to bet on. Great job!

    It's amazing some companies actually want to make reparable goods unlike, well everyone else making disposable, expensive gadgets. My last jank Jabra buds lasted 3 months before one died, and I refuse to buy any since. I hope these are made available in the US readily, I'd love to tell people to buy these instead.

    I'll certainly be getting fairbuds as my next earbuds. For the fairphone I'm still on edge due to not knowing how far software got and the hardware basically being last gen. While hardware is becoming less relevant due to tech advancements, I still don't know how far fairphone got on the software side

  • @Simalacrum
    @Simalacrum 2 месяца назад

    How long should the battery last for, exactly? As in how many recharging cycles/hours could we use the product for before we can expect to need to replace the batteries?

    • @dontmindme8709
      @dontmindme8709 2 месяца назад +1

      Fairphone website says >500 cycles, which I'm not sure if it applies to both the earbuds and the charging case. Probably just the earbuds. I would however assume this is a conservative estimate as batteries usually withstand more than that.

    I have checked your web and didnt find anywhere that you use conflict free coltan, just read that in an external web that said you use that coltan from congo. Anyways if comes from congo they can easily just say its from conflict free and you will never know, the point would be buying from other country. Also what matters is not just a conflict free material but not using child labour and also in a so dangerous mines.

      I'm not a fan of the change either, but what about a dongle? How often do you charge and use headphones at the same time?

    • @humane123
      @humane123 3 месяца назад +4

      @@thijmstickman8349 Two points:
      1. Why decide what the user wants to do? Give them 3.5 Jack as well as Bluetooth, users can use both as per their needs and wants.
      2. Because of the dongle, there are two problems. Carry an extra item with your earphones always. Also, it leads to extra electronic waste which the fairphone is trying to avoid.
