    What size hole saw did you use? Did you have to practically stand inside the safe to get the screws in for light strips? That part looks intimidating. 😬

      2-3/4 i used today

      I believe Mike was 3" because that is what I had. There are 2 recommended bit size in the instructions. Mine was almost too big.
      The straps go in easily, just lean in and barely tighten into the drywall material.

      change to a mechanical lock, but ATF can still cut the safe open just as burglars

    Just bought the Liberty Revere safe. One video claims that the Clearview light strips on the left side cannot be placed in the corner because the locking bars will hit the lights. He indicates you have to leave a space behind the light strips so that the locking bars will fit in behind the light strips. True?

    • @zukiplay

      Not sure on that model. You can record your phone inside the safe to see where they stop. Or, extend bars out and measure. Mine had plenty of room for light strips.

    Looking to do the same upgrades to a safe i should be getting tomorrow. Where did you get those spacers?

    • @zukiplay
      @zukiplay  Год назад

      I had these. They are just floor protectors for furniture. But you could use anything that supports weight that you may have laying around. Pieces of scrap 3/8” flooring etc.

    what size is the hole saw?

      @zukiplay  5 дней назад

      @@mayimbe777 I just measured the plug as it needs to be big enough to slip through. In my particular case, it was 2 and 3/4"

    It's big wast of money, you need to be buying a real TL rated safe that people can't get into using your own tools. If you do some looking, you can find nice used TL rated safes for the same money as a fake gun safe. A gun safe is not a true safe, it's just a sheet metal box with a thin fancy looking door.

    • @zukiplay
      @zukiplay  11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, I explain in the video that they just buy a little time. I have many other protections in place. I looked at "real safes" but the ones I found were outrageous expensive. Guess I don’t know where to look. Do you have any videos or recommendations?

      I kept a close eye on our local Craigslist and found three TL-30 safes listed by the same person. He managed a huge apartment complex and rented a one car garage out to a friend who removed items from stores after the closed. They were 6' tall and 36"X 36" and made of AR-500 plate steal, very heavy. He had helped this person move them to this garage 18 months earlier and just about cut his ankle off when a door fell over. I was at his place within three hrs. of him listing them. He begged me to buy them, he offered to give me all the other crap in the garage for free. I offered him $100.00 each, he told me he's not loading them and had just got healed up and back to work.@@zukiplay

    That was already pre cut ,you could've just popped that thin ring out and never had to cut.

    • @zukiplay
      @zukiplay  Год назад

      It was not. Different size for the outlet kit which was sold for a variety of safes. Directions clearly state it would need cut. Only cut the drywall, metal was precut from factory.
