People will just look at slam numbers and never truly remember how great Federer really is. After everyone counted him out, calling him too old. Then he comes back a break in the 5th set to close out a victory against his lifelong rival. It's not just about the numbers. It's also about the manner in which you accomplished them. Reminds me of MJ in basketball.

We will miss these two when, eventually, Father Time wins in the end. Astonishing scorelines. At the time, I felt Nadal was going to win in the fifth set; he seemed to have the upper hand and Roger had lost to Nadal in so many similar situations but Federer hit some remarkable shots ( not just the obvious winners to end the points) but more importantly deep top spin shots that got him back into points Nadal looked destined to win and Roger turned these rallies in his favour. His backhand in particular, withstood some serious assault from Rafa. That probably surprised Rafa. Admire both these legends

can't expect the same level he showed as a fit 35-year-old compared to a 40 year old with injured knees. that is unfortunately the truth :(

It's too close to call. Can't say from a slowed-down video. Rafa should have challenged it since it was such a crucial point - had he run out of challenges or something?

What an amazing final. I hadn't seen such an amazing gs match since their last meeting in the us open 2019 final. We all thought Daniil would win in straight sets and it was so sad seeing Rafa making so many unforced errors but somehow he managed to turn this around. Just amazing!! And just like Roger in the same age, he came back after a 6-month absence, while everyone thought his career was coming to an end. The greatest fighter ever!!

Nadal would always bully federer’s backhand. This match you can see that Federer was stepping in and ripping it back at Nadal
