I think you will love the latest pixel lineup
I've seen it, and I do love it! I might pick one up at some point. :)
I hear you! I grew up Apple & then into iOS but I ventured into PC for gaming & Android for work. You will absolutely get a bunch of quirks here and on Android as well & in my experience, way more.
In my experience, the few phones worthy of competing with iPhone Pro Max is the Samsung Note or S Ultra (for my use), But when it comes to app experience, I get annoyed by the Android experience very quickly. Like it or not, they are tailored differently I’m sure more money is invested into the iOS 1st. It’s noticeable
iOS's app polish is definitely there, and that is something I appreciated. Very good points all around!
Use what you're most comfortable with, for sure! If you like iOS, great! If you like Android, also great! :D
But I absolutely get it. From a creator standpoint. You should have both for options. And if like me, you will absolutely use both back-and-forth daily. Each has its strengths. (:
It’s only been in recent few years that Android has been getting longer then 2-3 yr support. Some up to 5 yrs. That’s a big step. (:
I use the Samsung Note series since day 2, & now on S23 Ultra along side my. Pro Max
The support for older devices is what's helped me move to it! Lots of older devices get support far longer than they did in the past. Makes me feel like I'm getting more out of my money.
I recently switched to Android also. I came from over a decade using Apple products and my last iPhone was the 14 Pro Max. I'm using a Pixel 8 Pro now and honestly Android is a worse experience for me, but I still find the bugs fine. The battery life on my Pixel is my only true complaint because I'm a heavy user. I might switch back when my upgrade is due, but it would only be because I just miss iMessage.
Totally fair! Use what you're more familiar with! :D
I've always liked Android better than iPhone. I use the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra as my main phone and I really like it. To me, Android is much easier to use than iOS and also much more flexible as far as apps and customization.
I use Android, but unfortunately Samsung offers the worst Android experience. Xiaomi eu is the nicest looking, nicest functioning and doesn't contain all the bloat and useless features that aren't useful.
I have the regular Samsung Galaxy S21 and it's amazing I used to use galaxy A series and the a series wasn't really good at all!!
It’s a bit of a shame that iOS has been on the downward trend of the bell curve for overall quality (assuming it goes up and down), although I have too great of a dependence on “the walled garden” if you will, not the least of which is close family communication, so as far as my daily goes, it works too well for what I use it for to give it up. I still enjoy playing with android on the side, and it’s nice to have choice, both hardware and software, so it’s totally fair to see a transition like this occur for the sake of stability. It makes me wonder what the state of iOS 18 will be when it gets announced.
I did almost make the switch to android when I had a Pixel 6 as a side phone in 2021/2022, but ultimately never did, I can’t remember exactly why, perhaps it was that phone specifically didn’t get as good of cell service as my then-current iPhone 13 Pro Max, so maybe that was why. And I was a Verizon user back then, and they can be very hit or miss as to where they work in the small town I live in. But I think there were other reasons as to why, including app quality on android not being as good sometimes, and that’s still the case today for a lot of apps I use.
Overall, best of luck on your journey, can’t say I’d personally vouch for using a modded rom for sensitive banking and credit card transactions on my daily phone but that’s about the only thing I’d critically say.
(Edit: I remember why, my car also hates android phones thus you can’t use USB audio - only iPhones/iPods can do that, and android phones are stuck using Bluetooth audio only. Kinda sucks.)
Thanks, my guy!
The Google Wallet app is something that I decided not to set up with my phone due to the unlocked bootloader, btw. Figured I could lose a bit of convienence for safety.
My hopes are that iOS gets better at some point. The lack of stability really did it for me when making the switch, and sideloading apps is pretty cool too, ngl.
iPhones are still cool tho! Just not for me anymore. :D
This doesn't make any sense, Androids have USBC on every single phone and a headphone jack on many many of them. Much more flexible in a car than a lightning cable.
You're a good presenter.
I really appreciate that, thank you! :D
Great
Just got my Pixel a few months ago
Still testing the camera
noice!
I originally had Android for a long time, and I liked it.
Eventually, I switched carriers, and they were offering a free iPhone 7 when switching. It was a well needed upgrade from my Galaxy S5.
I have had an iPhone since and have had minimal issues even on the latest IOS updates.
I switched back to Android when the Z Flip 5 came out. I love this phone and have no regrets buying it!
However, I will 100% say it's been more buggy than IOS. Im not even talking about Z Flip specific issues. Just general things.
I do love my Z Flip 5, but I'll certainly switch back to IOS sooner rather than later
I do know that OneUI has more issues than stock Android, from what I've heard anyways. Each vendor pushes out their own Android "flavor," and those changes can heavily impact the user experience.
One of the reasons why I picked something, that something being LineageOS, that would be the same experience on every device I ran it on! :D
So no more iPhone as a daily driver
That's understandable for sure
Honestly I don't have much issues with iOS despite a small few bugs and the battery that drains quite alot on my iPhone 13
3:52 I just tried this and it cleared the notification using my Apple Pencil on iPadOS 17.4.1, but bugs are bugs. They don't affect everybody. I've noticed stability problems on iOS 17.4.1. I've considered going back to Android where I started (not counting the iPod)
I wouldn't be surprised if it's different for different people, but I've talked to some of my friends, and they say they also have this problem still, unfortunately.
Bugs are fun lol
Let install apk
Is that a pixel 5A? Pixel 4A?
Pixel 4a 5G. :)
too expensive, too restrictive, takes more time to do simple things etc etc
nah haha, you can get android phones that are quite expensive and restrictive. The choice is what I really liked about Android, really. :)
@@MattsTech well yea you don't get a choice in any of those things with apple
Come back to our apple iphones these phones are better
mehhh maybe later
If you just want an iphone to look cool, keep that opinion for yourself.
