    For people like me with refractory epilepsy food is all about brain health. I follow a strict Keto so I don’t have to go back to seizures and meds than didn’t even work . People think that it’s all about weight, nothing further from the truth

      As an epileptic I am curious were you able to go without the meds with the ketogenic diet.

    Skinny people don’t necessarily look attractive but healthy people almost always do!

    MSG is all natural. It's not a processed food. There's MSG in tomato

      Yeah, there's a lot of misinformation about MSG. I don't think anyone eats enough to really affect them so bad.

    Doctor Ekberg… In the thumbnail, are you exacerbated by all the junk food on the plate? Or, are you amazed at how hot the model is on the other side? Can't quite tell which one you are looking, but your expression fits both equally well.

    I do know one person who eats lots of refined carbs, and eats tiny amounts, about 12 times a day. He is emaciated. I don't know how he stays so skinny. If I ate like he does, I wouldn't be able to fit through a normal sized door.

      it's their metabolism, everyone's is different (some eat a lot and gain nothing, some eat a lot and gain alot). Otherwise, we would all look the same physically.
      But it doesn't matter, junk food will eventually catch up to them, skinny or not.

      @@tno2007 I didn't really want to put this out there, but he is a functioning drug addict. I stayed with him as an assistant for several years, and for the first few years it was Crack, which was costing him about $400 a week. He had lots of money in the bank at the time from the sale of a house. Between that and betting on horse races online, he was going through his money pretty quick. He had to stop both, so he quit the gambling and switched from Crack to meth which is MUCH cheaper. As far as I know, he is still on meth...but it has been awhile since I talked to him. I left about 4 or so years ago, and moved back across the country. He is a verbally abusive narcissist, and I had to get away from the abuse. He lives in the SF Bay area. But anyway, the drugs are undoubtedly why he stays so skinny.

    Im on keto but i eat grainfed fats, what do this mean to me? It is very difficult to find grassfed meats here in the philippines. Does it mean im not actually on ketosis?

    • @nickbuis3307
      @nickbuis3307 4 года назад +3

      I don't think it actually affects your ketosis in a big way, ketosis is mainly driven by keeping your insulin low either by eating no carbs and/or fasting, it's just not optimal and can cause deficiencies or problems in the long run, then again maybe it won't. I wouldn't get hung up on it, just do the best you can.

    Whole food is very expensive thanks to China Joe and his supporters. Fast junk food is rather inexpensive that's what most of us have been regulated to eat.

  • @judyofthewoods
    @judyofthewoods 5 лет назад

    That makes a lot of sense. Junk is junk, and no matter how skinny you are, you are still poisoned if you eat it.
    I've read that a high amount of fat is hard on the gall bladder and protein on the kidneys. How can that be counteracted?

    • @drekberg
      @drekberg  5 лет назад +5

      Fat is not a problem for a healthy gallbladder. Protein is not an issue for healthy kidneys. But of course it has to be high quality food. If the kidneys and gallbladder are already degenerated then they need to be restored/healed before they can tolerate high quantities again.

    I’m skinny and still eat junk food. I eat a lot more salad and veggies than I used to though to offset it.

    • @drekberg
      @drekberg  5 лет назад +3

      Keep adding more and more until you are off junk food.
