This is definitely the video I've been looking for. I appreciate all of the work and explanation you put into this. Im also inspired that another brother is out there doing this. Each time im out for macro shots, im the only one doing it. Thanks again, much appreciated.
another great video trey , i was h appy you said about pairing macro lens with raynox , i jhave ordered one and waiting for it coming as i watchyour video, thanks again
Just one more thing I would add and that is it's good to have image stabilisation in the lens or camera for when you just can't get fast enough shutter speeds with narrow aperture in average light. Perfectly thorough otherwise though.
Nicely done sir, good to see a brother in the field, I am just getting into photography on a whole and I am struggling with the macro photography side of things. NEED help in a bad way…lol. Keep up the good work , I have subbed! Hope to view more content from your channel.
very nice video thanks. Not many macro videos out there (only for product macros....) and your is the best so far. Your diffuser looks amazing and I'm going to watch your DIY tutorial video now :P
Very well explained, nice music (though none is needed). I'm glad that you have a passion for photography. I'm very much enjoying using a Tokina atx-i 100mm F2.8 macro lens, which I've attached to my lightest weight Canon camera, the Rebel T-3, instead of the heavier 7D Mark II. Sometings, I'll add extension tubes, depending on my needs.
Now I'm thinking that your attraction is more to the infinite variety of insects, their anatomy and coloration, and you use photography as a tool to "capture" them, would that be correct?@@Xx7trey
So myny pics for such a narrow dof. Are you using the smallest interval whrn focus bracketing or are you really always shooting those pictures manually (and rock back and forth with your camera) ?
With my old nikon camera, all my focus stacks were manual since that camera didn’t have focus bracketing. With my Olympus, majority of my stacks I will use focus bracketing
EXCELLENT photos! EXCELLENT content! I learned a great deal. I look forward to watching more of your videos (and photos). I'm curious: why is "trey" in your RUclips name? Is it your real name/nickname? I ask because I've only met 7 folk named Trey in my lifetime. We've officially not met, but if you are named trey, you are number 8. Cheers! Trey Demmond (mine is a birth-given nickname; I rarely can hear my real name; I finally made it my professional name).
I learned some good tips. Thanks. I'm inspired by your images.
Thank you so much 🙏🏾🙏🏾 means a lot to me

Great video....My problem is always WIND. Somehow, the places where there are lots of insects are always in a windy location
Thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾 and oh yeah I feel your pain, the wind sucks.

Great tips. Thanks
You’re welcome 🙏🏾
excellent video - my issue with focus stacking is that without a tripod there is always camera movement and i end up with a poor stack
Thank you 🙏🏾 and I understand. I know it can be difficult
I'm getting my camera soon and I worry about this. My hands aren't super steady but I'm sure there's ways to practice or improve that

Great
Thank you 🙏🏾

When the subject is underexposed, it does not look sharp enough.
This is one of the reasons as well.
You’re right. I should’ve brought that up in this video
