Awesome work Eric! My own heart was beating fast watching the game play out on the screen and I knew who won already, I can't imagine being in your position. Love the games and can't wait to see more!
1:13 one of the most dedicated jobava players alex banzea almost always allows knight takes bishop and it proved to result in a very playable position despite double pawns which I believe he called the boa snake setup.
Oh God this is awesome, congrats Eric. I love how you don't automatically aim for a draw against GMs and super GMs. Amazing mentality, and amazing play. GG.
The masterstroke was dxe5 - he was expecting the Queen and him missing how bad things would be with the d1 rook and his own bishop gone is what what began to tilt it.
You think fabi will play like this in important game?. He say himself when playing against lower rated opponent, he always play ambigious line, try to experiment and sometime got punish back.
Heck yea, way to go Eric Rosen! Saw that you are going to the World Blitz, I'll be rooting for ya from Texas homie! Congrats, frame this scoresheet and hang on your wall :)
Given the scale of this, I don’t think it would’ve been inappropriate to jump on the table, kick the chess pieces all over and scream like a Banshee. It’s what I would’ve done. You’re a class act, Eric.
Go Eric! And wonderful that a spectator jumped in to record it; it would have been awful luck if you lost video of your triumph due to low storage. I'm curious, is it less intimidating playing Fabi because he looks like such a sweet guy? 😊
as a lower rated player, i learned NOT to put your queen over to the side with knights unless you are bobby Fisher!! and have a VERY good reason too. Seems Fabios queen was jammed in and he could only go backwards and lose time. Your pieces were central and it seems you were a touch behind then suddenly, you take the lead and he never recovers.
I love Fabi as a person. There's lots of great chess players out there but I've never heard anything from Fabi that wasn't well considered, intelligent and kind.
Shoutout to that person who spotted the full storage and started recording!
Our hero
all hail spectator!
If I was that person, I'd be going to bed with a smile for at least a week. Congrats on the win too!
First Fabiano in St.Louis . Next Magnus in New York . Best of luck Eric .
Next Trump in Washington.
Me in my bedroom 😂
@@PatronCervezasPossibly, still pls watch out for a stalemate!
7:00 He's nervous...but on the surface...he looks calm and ready...to drop bombs...
He’s spaghetti but on the spaghetti he looks clam and spaghetti to drop spaghetti there’s vomit on his spaghetti already
Very clever :)
Magnus been real quiet since this dropped
😂
someone inform Kramnik!
😅
:D
I'm so proud of you Eric! Fabi is an outstanding player and so are you. Thanks for bringing us on your Chess journey.

Yes, and also (a couple of moves earlier) accurately foreseeing the consequences of Bxc4. I would probably have played g4, which is not as good.
I despise ignorant people like you.
Holy crap, this is HUGE! Congrats!! Must be a massive confidence boost before the world rapid and blitz!
And great news for Arjun fans 😂
You think fabi will play like this in important game?. He say himself when playing against lower rated opponent, he always play ambigious line, try to experiment and sometime got punish back.
@@manojlds there is zero chance, even if fabi didnt get top 3, arjun never gonna win clear first in rapid, magnus is lurking there.
This mans track record against super GMs needs to be talked about...
The procedure, proceeeedduuuurrrr
@@Aeradill it all very clear to me now
Congrats Eric! Really proud of you!
Magnus, Hikaru, Fabiano. Eric has beaten every player in the top 3 now. Amazing stuff
Kramnik soon to follow, if he dares of course

Excellent, loved every second of this video. Good luck with your upcoming tournament.
Heck yea, way to go Eric Rosen! Saw that you are going to the World Blitz, I'll be rooting for ya from Texas homie! Congrats, frame this scoresheet and hang on your wall :)

Blitz can be a little more chaotic - good chances for upsets. Congrats, Eric!
The red arrow at 0:13. 😆 Now I only need one for Eric Rosen.
Speak softly and carry a big stick. Let's go, Eric! Time management!!
Love to see it. Congrats Eric!
Awesome to see how much you keep improving, continuously. Congrats Eric.
Doesn't seem that impressive to be honest, I've personally never lost to anyone rated in the top 20

Impressive. Thank you for the inspiration.
Well played Eric!
Congrats Eric 👍🏼
Now you´ve beaten Magnus and Fabiano, time to hunt down number 3
Nice win! Congrats.
Congratulations eric !
Did you see that, Magnus? He is coming for you!!

Putting the Queen on the queenside is common in a lot of london set ups. So just be careful with following such generic rules.
That's Fabi's Christmas present to you, Eric!
I love Fabi as a person. There's lots of great chess players out there but I've never heard anything from Fabi that wasn't well considered, intelligent and kind.
You really destroyed him. Amazing job!
Congrats! 💪
thumbs up - congratulations!
Congratulations eric❤❤
Congrats! Jobava Rapport Londen, right?
Congratulations to your win!
LETS GO ERIC
Poor Fabi. He's such a good boy.
7:00 perchance you also had some ruminate on your sweater already?
WTG Eric!
And WTG backup recorder!
Did Fabi talk to you about that game afterwards?
grats Eric!
