Constantly asking themselves what's their plan is one reason why they're orders of magnitude better than players at my level. Most of the time I'm not even thinking about my plan and just going to myself "hm that two-move combination looks nice"

Just goes to show that the difference between an IM and a world class GM is ten miles rather than a million miles, but it's that 10 miles that makes all the difference.
Love this. The honest inner monologue of folks is the best. Feel like anish was again under a good amount of ‘pressure’ here but it was cool at the point he identified he got out of it and become super confident again
As a non-native, I would really appreciate subtitles for that kind of videos. Two people speaking simultanously are hard to follow even for natives, especially if there's an added challenge of processing the moves as well!
He had to be very precise when being so cramped in. Much harder to play for Black. He didn't find all the best moves, but just tried not to make a losing move and eventually as White tries to make something happen, the chances trickle in. Pretty well played for a Blitz. Decision came in time scramble only.
The engine wants Rd1 or maybe Ra7, but I think the main point is that White shouldn't allow his light-squared bishop to be traded off like that. If White wants to play e5 then he should play Bh3 first.
Anish said something awhile back about 2750 being super GM when he was at that level -- saying they were an exclusive group or something. So, I'm gonna call him GM without the super by his definition. Not like Super GM is a real title anyways lol (I'm only talking smack because that is all Anish does. I wouldnt say this about someone that might cry about it.)
It's a nice idea for a video, but the simultaneous talking isn't great. Surely with some editing (maybe inserting pauses in the audio and using a separate game board) this format could be improved. Also, a slower game with more meaningful analysis by both players would be a lot more interesting. One player saying, "Maybe I should trade rooks" before trading rooks or the other saying, "I think I have a good position" before winning objectively isn't that insightful compared to what this format could provide!
It seems you know it as a duty to lose to a super GM because you show unnecessary excessive low self confidence in such cases and it sucks. I like your playing style and your character and I hope someday you stop being scared of higher rated players because you can beat most of them in blitz. ❤
No way. If you look at the scores next to their profiles they had evenly split games in this time control format before this game. No shot an IM would even be close to drawing someone who just learned to play.
Nice of them not to really talk over each other either.
What
lol, funny and oddly true
@OvejaGD you know, like jokes
Very polite
Anish is talking on Rosen's time. Rosen waits for the move then talks. At least that's my impression
3:24
"I don't know what I want"
"I don't know what my plan is."

It is remarkable how much you two match in self-commentary style. Calm, informative, and respectful
this Anish commentary was more respectful than normal 😂 usually he loves to stir the pot haha
IM: I don't know what I'm doing
GM: I don't know what I'm doing, but better
Thank God for people like Eric helping grandmaster Anish make a meagre living.
Anish x Rosen = immaculate vibes
Agreed they need to do a collab!
Eric offer a draw to Anish😂
Anish x Rosen 😳😳😳
anish is probably furious he wasn't able to achieve the pawn cube
Clearly the main difference is that Super GMs sit slightly closer to the camera.
Wow, thanks Eric. I had NO idea that Anish's family was starving! Subscribed!
The please subscribe to his channel so he can feed his family is diabolical😂. Eric is off the rails😂.
Is anish going through a rough time right now? Or was it just crazy trash talk? Can't find any info!

love the side by side with both commentaries... really appreciate the content brother
Love these mutual commentary videos !
I would love some more in depth analysis after the game too ! Even if recorded way later for the video !
I love these types of videos. Very insightful and unique.

Then the difference between an IM me is 10 million miles 😂
Yeah any IM is closer to Magnus than us mortals are to him.
@@drschwandi3687what a ridiculous comment.
Those are last ten miles you have to crawl on hot coal, naked, while getting whipped by the devil himself.
How so? Is 400 elo not smaller than 2000 elo?

WOwEE! Well done, to both, Happy Season to you all.
of all the chess thumbnails in youtube, your face is the most exquisite
The difference is that one of them tricks people into a draw, the other just asks for one
when the two nicest guys in chess play against each other.... we all win
Good instruction video on punishing over extending.
Class individuals. Thank you, gents.
I'd love to see you streaming on RUclips!
0:45 they are sitting the same too
4:34 I would go pawn to f5.
If G pawn takes.
Knight to H5
If H5 pawn takes on E4.
Rook to F1 and so on.
love this format
battle of the pleasing voices
I would look forward to you streaming on YT. I don't do Twitch.
4:58 Light Squaresss
Insightful stuff.
Training to stay calm and collected facing a strong GM seems hard.
Good editing and fun game.
My favourite online chess content maker and one of my favourite super GMs! What’s not to like?
i first thought that the title was proclaiming that you were playing an amish girl.

My favorite IM and GM :)
1:36 Anish wins connect four!
Which opening did Eric rosen play???
He played white against the Pirc Czech Defense (white's side does not have a separate name)
He played the "I put my pawns in the center and develop my pieces" opening.
Im too lazy to look it up, what should the move/plan have been instead of e5? (Which just add everything collapse)
The engine wants Rd1 or maybe Ra7, but I think the main point is that White shouldn't allow his light-squared bishop to be traded off like that. If White wants to play e5 then he should play Bh3 first.
That was a good game.
You could hear the little cooling fans start up in Anish's brain! Seriously, he wen't full machine-mode!
Wood sword vrs Steel sword.
Yeah, wood sword can kill you but.... unlikely.
Personally I use a picture of a sword.
i guess the hand in chin pose do make a difference.
Interesting match! I miss the beard tho😅
The beard makes him look evil. I like the nice-guy image.
Fun fact: if anish wins we dont care. If you do some of your magic draws we go crazy 😊
You are not subscribed to Anish's channel.
Basically Eric didn't calculate e5. I don't know why he didn't take the open file, improve inactive pieces ...🤔 I guess it's easy in hindsight.
Im waiting for the lichess recap thoooooo

so not a lot difference
The gap between a super GM and an IM is the same gap as an IM and someone that just learned to play.
