Hey! Not sure what search terms I needed to find you first but all the tutorials want to teach how to replace the line. Thanks for the video. Just wanted to see somebody else f*** it up before I did.
@@therangeproteeguy7842 The seller was niccoulso0 - BRIERPOWERSPORTS. I received the part yesterday and installed. Working great. Thanks for your video.
On the side and of the head you should see 3 holes next to each other.. Two are larger. Cut your line at 17 inches and put one end in the far left hole and push until it comes out the silver hole. Take the other end and push it through the far right hole until it comes out the other silver hole. May need to wiggle and push to get these through. Make both sides of the line sticking out the same length, and you're done. Line is .095 inches in diameter. Craftsman part number 7185914. This is a roll of line instead of paying for pieces.
This was exactly the video I needed! Thank you!

Very helpful. Thanks. I needed to cut the press on washer as well. Stupid design.
Thanks, my head fell off and I had no idea how the head attached to the shaft. Now to the hardware store to find the lock washer.
Thank you! Worked great on mine
Whoever gave the green light for this design, l'd like to kick his ( their) rears from sun up 'till sun down on every other Sunday.

Where did you get the replacement head from
Sorry, but it's been a while and I really don't remember where I ordered it from.
Part number is in the description
Do you know where I can buy one of these replacement heads? I can't find them in any home improvement stores or online parts retailers.
I got it at Sears parts direct. It looks like there are no more on the entire internet. I don't know if there's another head that will fit.
Yeah I just ordered from SearsParts after scouring the web. Ouch to the shipping cost :(
Any clue where to get the head assembly at?
I haven't had any luck finding them anymore.
I need it too. Mine broke and need the replacement.
HOW DO YOU LOAD IT!?!?!?
Read reply to Victorescu. I explain it there.
@@therangeproteeguy7842 thank you!!
this single segment line design is ridiculous...its so wasteful because u toss out so much line....spooled design is best....should fire the designer.
What a very stupid manufacturing build this model
