Yup I love this match up as cardinals fan. I feel like these are the 2 most prestigious organizations in mlb history and they dont play each other that often. Would love a cards vs Yankees world series
When you were watching this game, who would have believed that the Houston Astros would be the 2005 National League Champions? Since the advent of the Wild Card format, the name of the game has been to play well enough to get to postseason, then get hot at the right time. MLB postseason has become more about generating revenue than seeing the best team win the Series.
And that's why I hate adding more teams in the playoffs. All it does is dilute the product. So more teams that are mostly average are getting into the playoffs.
