I recently purchased the same colored platinum and it also came with a dashcam. This option was so new that the dealership wasn't sure how to operate it but I figured it out - it's a great feature. Also it's hard to find new vehicles with a CD player, which the Murano has. If you have a collection of CDs, this new Murano will play it!
It's insane how much Nissan really didn't change this generation Murano since it came out in 2015. It practically looks identical to when it came out almost 10 years ago. Same engine, same interior, same startup chime, same gauges, everything. It's still a pretty good choice, and Nissan's CVT is actually pretty good, so I don't mind. People just don't like CVT transmissions, but they give better gas mileage since it keeps the engine in the powerband and then immediately drops to the most efficient RPM for the engine, compared to a normal torque converter automatic. That 3.5L VQ series V6 is still a great engine too. The one thing is that Nissan's reverse camera quality is still not great. It's basically very grainy, course, and it's not the best resolution.
Yeah they need their butt whip, I have a 2021, and out of curiosity, I looked up the 2024, and NO CHANGES, but the Nissan badges, at this point, the damn Rogue has better features 🙄🙄😃
@@Bart-dg6qv biggest reason for cvt failure is neglect from the owner. I change mine every 30k miles. Cvt fluid breaks down faster than conventional auto fluid and requires more frequent fluid changes.
I spent all week test driving vehicles as I wanted to trade in my 2018 Grand Cherokee Summit. Found the Platinum Murano had best bag for the buck, comfortable as heck and felt great. Most of the other crap I tried was just that, crap. The Murano is not as nice as my Jeep but its new and I got a 5yr warranty, so hopefully no headaches for 5 years. My Jeep just came off warranty and anything that goes wrong, and there are plenty of things that can, will cost 3k...didnt want the headaches.
@@zhiyako4032 sante fe, tucson, crv, rav4, rogue and a couple mazdas. seriously, the murano was waaaay better than all. Had it for 5 days now, it a sweet ride. Only thing I dislike are all the damn safety options, can turn most off I guess but that damn seatbelt chime is annoying. Had to buy seatbelt extenders off amazon to fix that issue
Murano's dramatic body style looks great, even if the design is not new. The engine and transmission have been around long enough to "prove" themselves well. I know a new Murano is coming for 2025-2026, but I think THIS is the one to get.
So true my 2020 has its second cvt, transmission,,blew at 47 thousand kilometres,,get the extended warranty with this car,,,,I’m getting rid of it at 70 ks,,,so good on gas 39 mpg on highway,,75 dallars every 2 weeks not bad,,
Wow, I was thinking $39-$40,000 50 grand plus taxes absolutely insane for that how old outdated vehicle Lexus NX 350 is same price and drop in value 50% in three years.
One of the things that is losing customers is they can’t update simple things like the key fob and many other things. Infinite dropped the ball in their latest model series and they need more innovation and try using more modern leather colors and combinations that are appealing to both young and old. I don’t think they get it. Also, all of the Japanese automakers need to stop turning their SUV’s into station wagons, it’s not cool please stop it.
And we don’t like Nissans CVTs……so why, Nissan? A nine speed transmission will get just as good gas mileage and actually have some performance unlike the CVT dog……this vehicle has looked the same for way way too long….and the infotainment screen is ridiculously low resolution compared to every other new vehicle on the road.
Does the cargo cover come off? Woukd be helpful if it did to put my bike in back w/seats down. And $50K...insane for a vehicle. Out if my league. I drive a 2011 Equinox w/87,500 mikes & live debt free. You have to sell your soul for a new car.
$50,000 for that Nissan Murano!? 3.5 V6 with the CVT some leather and a few features should be $35,000k. That would make Nissan a serious contender. But 50, there are way better cars available.
Idk why they haven’t redesigned the murano yet they must finna discontinue it or something because it’s had the same body style since 2016 Nissan doesn’t like redesigning they cars for some reason it took them forever to redesign the Sentra versa and Altima
I own a 2020 platinum awd. I don't see any differences except for the badging. Same old 3.5 litre engine, same infotainment. I'm waiting on a electric murano yeah! The way gasoline has rising my nexy car I purchase will be a EV. I'm in California and looking at $6.20 per gallon. Gasoline prices will drop when more people start to purchase EV. Ben has been reviewing, and driving the same looking Murano so long he don't have to much to say anymore about the car.
Nissan is a decent brand, not the best, but decent. Same with their luxury badge Infiniti. However, their engines are the worst in fuel efficiency, their body designs are odd, and their digital screens are a decade behind. Add that they are not "cheap" and you wonder how they stay in business.

People don’t like the CVTs because they’re junk. 8 out of 10 fail. No thanks. No driving feel either. I’ll stick with my 8 and 9 speed autos.
Nissans camera quality actually went down over the years. My 2008 G37 camera quality was actually pretty good.

My all time favorite SUV. I have a 2009 Murano SL AWD with 210,000 miles.
It's getting redesigned next year, FINALLY!

New one is getting the 9 speed. Definitely going to wait for that one.

Insane Murano Ben !! ❤❤
2024 Nissan Murano 3.5L V6 CVT Continuously Variable Transmission AWD Platinum!
2025 is getting a complete refresh
Good, it needs it.
It looks very similar to my 2018 model. I think it has some additional safety features, but other than that, it's pretty much the same.
THANK YOU for testing the cvt feature i love that and everyone ignore it i love it on my Toyota Yaris
It should feel like a torque converter automatic since that cvt has a torque converter.

Did you keep flesh fluid in your cvt, Makes all the difference!!!
wow... this car doesn't change at all...
An actual CD player? Oh my, kudos to Nissan
Well Ben when you said Xtronic CVT my first thought was Jatco trash. It'll fail before 100k miles even if the fluid is changed.
That’s not true, if you change the fluid, it can last a long time.
It’s the same crap CVT transmission. They just changed the name to confuse customers.

We love our 2015 Murano but now the cvt is starting to slip and buck with 70000 miles .
$50K for a Nissan? Damn! It’s Lexus/BMW territory. Why would I ever choose this model over the true luxury cars?

I consider to buy a new 2024 Nissan Murano.
Nice review but not once you used your turn signals idk what is up with people not using their damn turn signals!
Steering wheel is the same as they had in 2005 nissan Maxima. Ancient vehicle,
What are you trying to update up , if everything is same as compared to 2022 and 2023

Did they figure out how to cure the rust problems ?
I own 2017 with 76k miles; what rust problem?
I always get a smile when I see the name of this car! I always think of it as Italian for “moron“ LOL
Nissan is a weird brand. Why have they not updated this or the Maxima? And who is getting a 2024 Murano?
If Nissan is a weird band ,So is toyota (4/runner) and honda (passport) and many others do the Same Thing!!!!

I’d like the murano a lot more if it had a 9 speed auto. CVT is trash.
What??? Nissan continue the old decade Murano from 2015?? Unaceptable from Nissan!!
