I really want to put this out there for anyone that's had a hard time losing weight. I've tried everything from Atkin's, Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet, low carb, low fat, no fat, low glycemic, to even being a vegan for a year. I gave each method at least one year of strict adherence to the plan and only lost weight while being a vegan. The only difference was that I was also intermittent fasting during that time. So I decided to give keto/IF a try and in two weeks I've dropped a little over five pounds. That doesn't sound like much to most people but when I say that I've been unable to lose weight, I mean I literally gain a small amount each day no matter what I've done. So thank you Dr. Berg. You've saved my life and I am finally seeing the numbers go down instead of up and it feels so good!

I have had RA for 15+years and am considered obese according to my BMI and started keto and IF about a month ago. I have lost 20 lbs and decided to have a “cheat day” yesterday. I made my favorite southern dish, dirty rice with cheese. Rice usually wouldn’t cause me problems before keto so I thought it would be ok. I didn’t realize how much pain I had been in before. I woke up this morning barely able to walk and hands and feet swollen. Still in a lot of pain. No more cheat days for me!
Every day that I step outside during the summer, my lungs and sinuses are affected by the grasses, ragweed, plantain. My ears are clogged and sound creaky. My head is throbbing. Thank you for all you do.
I have chronic inflammation that’s about six inches in area around my chest for about a year. It doesn’t hurt but if I press on the bones around the area, it hurts. I am fasting right now (60 hours in so far), and I can see it working. The area of inflammation has been reduced to two inches around my chest and the pain was also reduced to around 10%. I’m planning on a 5-7 day fast, so I’m assuming that the inflammation would be gone 100% within a day or two. I have so much energy that I feel I’d be able to fast for 30 days, but 5-7 days should be enough for me. Stay strong.

Thanks to Dr. Berg I am finally taking care of my diet ... I had an L4-L5 surgery 6months ago at 24 and after that, I pretty much lost my ability to do many of the exercises and eventually, I gained weight most of which rest on my lower belly area. I am not overweight though I just have some belly fat which I want to get rid of. Watched a lot of your videos in the past week and damn am I enlightened. Started watching the wheatgrass juice video first and then fatty liver and so on ... My pursuit of becoming internally healthy finally started, thanks to you Dr. Berg. I really appreciate your logic/research based approach to explaining the benefits of IF. I've been on an IF lifestyle for over 2 yrs now (never done keto). 40yrs old, 5'10" tall, and 145lbs. This is so true on many levels! My chronic inflammation got better when I was doing I.F. and Keto. I haven’t been fasting lately and my issues are back with a vengeance. I have psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, severe allergies, chronic sinusitis, chronic congestive heart failure, hypertension, ehlers danlos and filimentary keratitis. Wish he'd have told us exactly what he means by fasting. Not eating at all for days on end? Eating less? Avoiding specific foods? Ramadan-type fasting?
It does work, I tweaked my back at work and 12 hours into the fast it already feels 10 times better. The key is avoiding sugar in your diet and high glycemic foods long before you even think about fasting. It makes fasting 10 times easier because you've stored up key nutrition in your body and so you can go longer without feeling hungry.
Hello Dr.Eric Berg. A very lovely evening to you. Very nice info, keto and IF diet helped alot to get rid of such symptoms. Thanks alot and good luck.😊
Brilliant. I also attest this works, having chronic sinusitis and a bit of arthritis already in my 40s, at some point the pain of an illness is greater than the discomfort of fasting and radically changing one's diet. Over 9 years have quit smoking and stopped eating the typical American toxic diet, lost 34 lbs, and worked up to OMAD. Still a long way to go yet.
Intermittent fasting seems to lower blood pressure, definitely stabilize blood sugars. One friend that started IF with very hi blood pressure went to normal after only a few weeks. Almost immediate control of type 2 diabetes in another case.

Thats great!! Are you intermittent fasting?
@@ElTee519 No, light, dry fasting.
What are you suffering from bro ?
@@markmaxwell4890 My gut is severely damaged and the only thing that seems to help it (even with using probiotics, prebiotics, fermented foods, raw foods, healthy eating, enzymes and on and on and on) is NOT eating.

No more cheat days for me!
how are u now with your RA? i have psoriatic arthritis and it’s so painful 🥲🥲🥲
Please do another complex video on reversing scarring.. I'd really need it Dr. Berg ;/
Every day that I step outside during the summer, my lungs and sinuses are affected by the grasses, ragweed, plantain. My ears are clogged and sound creaky. My head is throbbing. Thank you for all you do.
One of the most interesting quotes in this video is: "fasting turns off the genes which cause inflammation"

How did it go?

I take tumeric and ginger to boost healing from inflammation.
Some people says turmeric causes inflammation... Is that correct.. Pls reply

Glad to hear that it helped. Be well!
After I watch your video about fasting last year August I was thinking hard and give a try October 2023 I start to fast until now, my knee pain is gone ,my vertigo is gone now i can run up and down in our stairs, I mean fasting changes my life thank you so much🙏🙏🙏
Can you please teach me how to fast--i want to be pain free but I would like to try your way of fasting -- please

So that explains why I felt so amazing when I was pregnant. Wow! Great info as always Dr Berg. 😊👍
Awesome as usual. I'm doing intermittent fasting since a while. And recently I've done 72 hours- it's great. Will repeat soon.
Always with the best information that actually works for optimal health. Keep it up Dr Berg love and respect from Trinidad and Tobago 👍🏼👊🏼👊🏼🇹🇹

Thank you for sharing this info. i'm 59 years old, i recently did a 7 day fast that didn't go so well, it made my legs cramp up, my heart race very high and caused me many sleepless nights for a month after the fast, i do much better with 2 - 3 day fasts, i know that's my limit and i'm fine with that, and i do feel great when i do it.
Berg. ACV, lemon juice, wheatgrass juice and IF ( I'm doing it all ) Let's see how it goes down the road :)

22 months on keto and my last HsCRP values are 0.07 0.06 0.09. My arthtytus in the thumbs and wrists greatly improved, no longer on disability. I'm 70 y.o. and feel great after losing 60 lbs. I can run with my grandkids in the park again. Viva Keto!

I would love your explanation of how we ended up with food allergies. What we did to ourselves to get these food allergies.
Need to curb Inflammation as much as I can . Thank you doc for the info 💖👍
This makes so much sense for my problem. I have chronic inflammation after eating high oxalate foods, my body was hypersensitive to oxalate. I will try fasting to reset the malware in my body.
I really appreciate your logic/research based approach to explaining the benefits of IF. I've been on an IF lifestyle for over 2 yrs now (never done keto). 40yrs old, 5'10" tall, and 145lbs. Never felt better and clearer in my head. Wondering if there's a way of making an IF community under your leadership to share experiences, meet-up once a year or something and keep up the motivation and spread the msg even louder.

I’ve been hearing a lot about this lately but don’t know if it’s really accurate and who has the correct information.
Food combination no good.
Your information and fastin has helped me tremendously. I love all the advice you have given. I learned to fast for longer periods and it has changed my life. May God bless you and continue teaching us what no other doctor has. Thank you very very much.

Excellent. Thanks so much. Starting intermittent fasting tomorrow.
Did you get any results from fasting?
Wow this lecture is very wide opener and relator for other solutions, like muscle building , and prostate inflammation turning to a cancer ,and dieting.. thanks dr.berg.

How long do I have to fast for before inflammation starts lower
This is so true on many levels! My chronic inflammation got better when I was doing I.F. and Keto. I haven’t been fasting lately and my issues are back with a vengeance. I have psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, plantar fasciitis, severe allergies, chronic sinusitis, chronic congestive heart failure, hypertension, ehlers danlos and filimentary keratitis. I can attest that my symptoms really improved with fasting and Keto. Oh and the only time in my life that my psoriasis completely went away was when I was pregnant. So crazy!

You rock Dr Berg!!!! Thank you
Wish he'd have told us exactly what he means by fasting. Not eating at all for days on end? Eating less? Avoiding specific foods? Ramadan-type fasting?
Same Question ??
It does work, I tweaked my back at work and 12 hours into the fast it already feels 10 times better. The key is avoiding sugar in your diet and high glycemic foods long before you even think about fasting. It makes fasting 10 times easier because you've stored up key nutrition in your body and so you can go longer without feeling hungry.
He has so much informative such vast knowledge. Hi from India 🇮🇳
But very little of it is scientifically proven!
What’s ONAD?

Intermittent fasting seems to lower blood pressure, definitely stabilize blood sugars. One friend that started IF with very hi blood pressure went to normal after only a few weeks. Almost immediate control of type 2 diabetes in another case.
I can confirm this, after one(!) week of keto I could get rid of my metformine! 😸

My only concern with fasting for myself is that I’m very thin. I use to fast all the time when I was a lot younger and felt great. I’m 60 years old and doing keto as well. I feel great and don’t want to get any thinner. I do yoga almost every day so my body is strong and healthy. I’m a small stature of a woman with osteoarthritis in my hands and feet. Words of advice?
