Wundervoll Interpretation von meinem liebsten Mendelssohnn!!!!!
Mendelssohn is heard quite a lot here in the U.K. (particularly the symphonies) though his wonderful overture “Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage”’ is still a rarity yet it’s one of the best Romantic overtures ever written IMO. Recently heard his oratorio “Elijah” in London, absolutely wonderful, premiered (in English) in Birmingham, 1846.
Here is the US we don't get as much Mendelssohn as I would like. It was wonderful to have a virtual concert of something I had not heard before!
The SWR is such a great orchestra, always enjoy their performances on Y.T. Thanks for the upload of a real rarity.
Thank you 🥰
Bravo!!!!! Brillant performance!!!!❤
참으로 아름답고 훌륭한 연주, 그리고 멋진 영상~!!
감사합니다. Thank you~!!!
We are happy that you enjoy it! 😊
J'ai chanté cette œuvre avec le chœur et l'orchestre du Conservatoire de la Réunion. On parle parfois de Mendelssohn avec condescendance, mais cette nuit de Walpurgis est extrêmement difficile à mettre en place.
This work is so much fun! I wish the recording had subtitles. Follow it with the transcript to fully enjoy it.
