LYRICS
Late night
Up all morning
I could feel something
But it Could be nothing
Where they go?
I know what’s out there
It’s up to you and me
I’m going downstairs
Got those keys
You’re going nowhere
It didn’t show that
Our days were parallel
We had to move fast
Don’t you slow me down
I'm going nowhere
Nothing goes above the high rise
Like no one gets back into your life
In a couple days I’m gonna lose this
In a couple places getting bruises
Just to heal my body
Said she’s coming
But that don’t mean nothing
Cuz I’m not waiting
For no one to save me
And if I’m going to stabilise
If I’m gonna stabilise
If I’m gonna stay.
Theres nothing out there
For you and me
Im going nowhere
Until it bleeds
Im going nowhere
Dogs fight
Stayed up all morning
Thought I could feel something
But my mind keeps jumping
Back and forth
It might seem unfair but it worked for me
Going downstairs
Here for the therapy
That's going nowhere
It was the school bag
Showing up at four
It was a small flat
Rotten to the core
Still going nowhere
Nothing goes above the high rise
Like no one gets back into your life
In a couple days I’m gonna lose this
In a couple places getting bruises
Just to heal my body. Видеоклипы
The amount of times I've replayed this is ridiculous. What a song.
Most of these views are probably between the two of us then. A true hidden gem.
@@Poodle_Gun at least a couple grand from me 😆
Wwwwwwwoooooouaaaaasyyyyuyyyyya
Same 👌
@@Poodle_Gun and my fault too. i went to rehab but i hear this once if many months? i'm going back in
the way the tension builds up during the verses and releases in the chorus is masterful
BRUH THIS GIRL GREW UP LISTENING TO BLOC PARTY ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
The verse part simultaneously sounds like an early Bloc Party song mixed with The Stars are Projectors by Modest Mouse. Also kinda hear Minus the Bear. I kinda can't get over how many things I like about this song
And this ruclips.net/video/TNRCvG9YtYI/видео.html
Yeah bro
Yas! The early 2000s are all in this
There's probably a lot of the early 80's post-punk/new wave in this too. Some of the odd phrasings and angular guitars remind me of very early R.E.M. from "Murmur" and "Chronic Town" Era. Their song "Wolves, Lower" especially comes to mind in terms of messing with the listener's expectations. Also, this reminds me of Julian Cope and Teardrop Explodes, too.
The rhythm is a lot like ' Luno ' by bloc party and bit of 'helicopter' and that is a great thing indeed ..
The whole album is fantastic
İt's like The XX are jamming along to Aphex Twin at 5am after a night of Mandy 👌✨
Her range as an artist is incredible.
sounds like if a radiohead song and a joy division song had a daughter. love it so much
Yeah and Bloc Party and a smidgen of Santigold.
It reminds me a lot of TV on the radio. I’m so glad I discovered her. Love her new album!
wow...I was at her show recently in Cambridge, MA and I said to my friend with me that she reminded my of radiohead...you are spot on Karla!
Her voice is amazing all in itself, but a lot of instrumental moments here bring up wonderful memories of those enigmatic, elliptical guitar & bass lines from R.E.M's "Murmur".
With a large sprinkle of The Drums
What the hell is this... I just found this by clicking through some music reviews. What a great song. Great energy, going forward, great lyrics. Never heard of Nilüfer Yanya before, hello and welcome in my personal music highlights of the year!
I hope you've listened to more. She has incredible range as an artist.
Isn't it lovely when you find an artist/band that matches your vibe through total serendipity?
It always leaves me with this feeling of, "Wow, I could've totally missed out on ever hearing this!"
Heard this on radio 1 tonight. Absolute tune. My fav song atm
thumbs up for radio 1!
Tidal recommended this to me after listening to wet leg. What a great song.
Heard this on the local Baltimore radio station last week and have listened to it every day since! Loving the vibe and running beat for sure
Going to play this at my 60th birthday next week. Love will tear us apart for the 20s
Always amazed by how the timing and momentum build, twist, and turn as the narrative progresses on.
second time i'm listening i don't wanna be distracted by the vid this shit is so good
yeah! ive found that in this album nilufer does some really clever and subtle artistic effects with some of the songs on this album. like L/R being played on a L/R headset.
@@robinbanks1993 yep, it’s in time with a military march as well.
This is the most unique beat I've heard in a long time... beautifully done
big shoutout to Ellis Dupuy on drums, check him out on Puma Blue he's a beast
It’s not a beat and it’s not unique.
@@garethde-witt6433 when
@@Iceman_HSV since 1978 it’s been used a lot,the drum pattern is what I’m talking about not the rest of the song.
@@garethde-witt6433 did I ask
RCMP showed up at my door for blaring this. Thanks for a great time 🤘
Loved it! Great drumming (and everything) good old 3 chord punk perfection. Keep rm coming.
Thank you, you've officially made my 2023... definitely expecting you to be my top listened artist on Spotify lol
Another masterpiece from Nilufer.
She’s back!
Holy shttttt, this is wonderful. I just found you back in the morning thanks to a peruvian meme page, now it's midnight and I heard all miss universe. My really best wishes Nilüfer. Lots of love from Peru :3.
Love the discordance of lyrical flow. Rhythmic distortion that is equally casual and nauseatingly off balance. Love it!
I just heard this song for the first time & love it, New fan!! Hope to catch a show soon! 🎶💕🙂
i realllyyyyyyyyyy enjoy this
.........honestly, this song and " ISOLATION BY THE IMPURES " are some of the best songs i heard and are keeping me going during these hard times.........v
Stunning, already pre-ordered the green vinyl, it’ll join my transparent miss universe and pink inside out vinyls soon. Love from Mexico.
One of my all time favourite artists and tracks ❤️
Heard it like a week ago on DLF in Frankfurt. Keep on rocking Nilüfer!
This thing of bringing the 80s 70s stylish back is so damn cool love from Brazil :)
HEY YANYA over here in VA USA they played your song on the radio. crazy that good shit gets through. They played midnight sun. I was at a stoplight in the work vehicle. windows down volume up lol. no i'm not that hard but i was happy
She makes a bike helmet look chic!!
You are so amazing! I love your music❤️
I love this new song! Already pre-ordered the vinyl. I can't wait to hear the whole thing! Love from the Netherlands 💙
A breath of fresh air ! Sublime Artist ! 😍
Dope. Heard it on FLUX FM today.
damn pfp could pass for flume
J'aime beaucoup les changements de rythme, autant dans le beat de la chanson, que dans sa voix.
This is beautiful, made my day.

Fantastic song! This an electric cake with a punk base, the police icing and joy division twist. Oh yeah!
Love her voice & all together...❤
Great Driving song, thanks for this
I’m so obsessed already
Oh this is a bop! I love how it almost verges on mathrock. This is one of her fastest songs too. Very hyped for the album now!
This slays.
J'adore !!! Elle a donné un sacré coup de jeune aux vieux briscards du rock alternatif 🐱
this is the anthem of my life! teşekkürler Nilüfer!
she never misses !
Great!!!!!!
Beautiful music and great vocal part!
This song mades me adddicted. I hope a long career in music industry for this georgous Yanya. Great job ! 🥰😉
Love the song! Sounds a little like Bloc Party. I wonder who produced this song?
Will Archer on production duties
Oh my gosh... it totally does. So happy you made these two click in my mind!
What a song! So good at Finsbury Park live
Killed it
I just discovered this "hidden gem" thanks to "the algorithm", which -in general- I very much dislike because hardly anyone looks at the songs I post😉... This time however I am thankful it brought me here. This just goes to show that it is still possible to make good, original music nowadays, that not all is lost musically speaking and that there is more out there than standard, synthesized drums, pitch corrected and Auto-Tuned voices, etc. Class act!
Now i see how postpunk themes are getting really viral
The drumming with the guitar is just the best. I love her raspy voice too!
found from the SRK cover, this is amazing. i love how seamless your instrumental transitions are, really adds impact when you choose to really tell the listener theres a change, if you know what i mean
This is my jam🌊🌊🌊
This song has a very Radiohead OK Computer sound to it in all the best ways.
When a concert in Barcelona?!? We waiting
Such a gem, this song feels personal and painful but it's such a bop 🤧✨️
There is this magic to your music, always, that one and one is not two! Love it!
Great great great track !
so excited for the album!! sending love from the US
Excellently lavish song, thanks a lot. looking forward to upcoming Berlin concert.
