For a video being 3 years old, you have mentioned some technical things that I have yet to hear within my 6 weeks of researching print on demand. Thank you.
I gotta say that I am a little surprised about some things you mentioned, since for me they are so normal that I don't even think about it. When I read that someone lost a lot of money on printful, I was a little shocked, until I read why. He just wanted to sell products but apparently he didn't take time to think about any of it, a business plan or whatsoever, didn't even make his own designs and hired a designer that cost him hundreds of bucks. I'm glad you are giving this advice to people who may rush into their online store, I hope they take time to make sure their prints are as alright as they can be. I have recieved a couple of sample orders and not only mugs but also shirts are awesome. The best thing though is the crewneck sweatshirt. My designs (which is just text) look good on everything but damn that sweatshirt is so soft that I know I myself will be wearing it as soon as it gets colder.
Thanks for your suggestion, Dianne! 😊 If you'd like to have some assistance with designing our canvas prints, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team via support@printful.com.
hi, what if a client has the possibility to make his own customize shirt in my shopify store and end up making one with a copyright? will i get in trouble?
No. For starters, that design won't be listed anywhere on your site, so no one except the creator will even see it. Also, since the buyer is only ordering a single copy for personal use, that falls under fair use.
Color palettes can be a difficult to choose. If you want some help with designs let me know. I can do many different shirt designs that have custom colors and size to make sure the print comes out looking great. Let me know if you would like some designs. I can do them super cheap!
Hi! We offer sample orders and color swatches that you can use to choose which colors you want to design in. You can learn about this here: www.printful.com/faq/printing/important-disclaimers/color-matching-disclaimer
Why would anyone use someone else's work and take credit? It takes work to design and draw. Do it yourself. I have had to stop theft's from stealing my own artwork and poetry. I have full copyrights and I have people who will help me stop the theft's. I look up my work after I make it available online to make sure no one is stealing it. Google lens helps.
It depends on the tools you're using. Here's a tutorial for Adobe Photoshop, which is the tool we prefer, but surely there are other resources available as well: ruclips.net/video/AKF2IX0_U7s/видео.html 😊
When it comes to the end outcome, fabric of the garment plays an important role. So, are you saying a high resolution actual pic can't be printed on a t-shirt, mug and hoddie? This worries me, because I am a photgrapher and i just opened my store through, not sell yet, it has been a week since then, but I have up loaded my pics in super high resolution to mugs, t-shirts, and hoddies. this really worries me. and yes, i wanted to see your quality, but my t-shirt has not arrive from Riga and when I wanted to order some more samples you disable the sample button. So, what shall I do< i am worry.
The easiest way to make sure that your print file is suitable for the specific product is to check out our print file guidelines-they tend to vary depending on the product and its specifics, and you can always find them on our products' page. If you have any more detailed questions regarding this and if you'd like for us to check for any updates on your sample order, please don't hesitate to get in touch with our Customer Support by chat or support@printful.com-we'll do our best to help.
Hey Printful team, am i able to have gradients in my design on a regular shirt like bella+canvas, not all-over print? AND what if my designs have like brushes and little grunge designs? are those all better on all-over prints?
Hi Sam! Here are some videos on creating embroidery designs you might find useful: 📍 Hat embroidery guidelines: ruclips.net/video/-WIQTaAlMx8/видео.html 📍 Apparel embroidery guidelines: ruclips.net/video/ub0os9e4Fy0/видео.html
Hey, Janie, if you are following the care instructions then the print shouldn't wash off easily. The design preparation shouldn't have huge impact on the washing off aspect.
I designed a phone case and uploaded a clear picture, but for some reason after looking at the preview picture of the case, it was blurry. Would it be blurry as well for other people? And would the print turn out blurry too?
Print quality should be fine if follow the suggested guidelines of optimal artwork at a minimum of 150 DPI. We do accept higher resolution files, but it is best not to exceed 300 DPI. If your mockup is blurry despite the high-quality print file, try downloading it in a .png format that has a higher resolution.
Hey, Miriam, it depends on the size of the wall art. The best solution is to create your designs using the templates you can download from our Product Catalog. However, in this case, you can simply increase the resolution for your existing design.
Great. video guys, just. a quick question. I'm a watercolour painter and thinking to setup my store soon. Are there any specific requirements for watercolour designs? Didn't read the techy stuff on your website yet..guilty ;))
There aren't any specific requirements for your watercolor designs, however, you have to check guidelines for the technique you're planning to use. For example, DTG doesn't work well with transparencies that could be a challenge to overcome. Definitely take a look at our Help Center and feel free to reach out to our Customer Support via support@printful.com if something is not clear.
Hi,I'm just starting print on demande but I'm stuck with the dimension thing.i'm using teepspring. When i start adding my logo or pictures or text,i find my creation small compared to what I'm seeing on youtubers channels.I use canva to find my désigné and make sure that the pixel dimension is PNG,usually i make it 5000px...Can you please help me see the light,I'm really stuck.thx
Hey! You should create your print files in a size you intend them to be on the actual product but make sure the DPI is at least 150 when creating your products via Printful. :) You might find this blog post useful: www.printful.com/blog/everything-you-need-to-know-to-prepare-the-perfect-printfile/
Hi! I don't work for printful, but I can tell you they don't care. It's not their responsibility whether your graphics are copyrighted or not. They just print the shirt. Unless it's something immediately recognized as hateful or too graphic as the digital file pulls up, they print it. :)
You don't print all-over t-shirts??? What about pet products? I was looking into your portfolio and although i found it quite extensive, there can be more items added in the foreseeable future. One of those is all-over print ts, and pet products like bandanas or puppy/kitten sweaters. Thanks.
Why do my print areas come out too small? I have ordered from a couple print on demand stores to check my designs. I resize all my designs so that they fill the size of the print area completely. My design is on the back and it comes out too small. It's like their machines can't go any bigger. Can you make a video on this or get a response thank you.
Could you please share more details with our Customer Support by chat or support@printful.com? We'll look into this and will try to our best to advise 🧐
What if a customer sends me an image and wants it printed on a t-shirt? What if that image is some random cartoon character or an artist's work. I won't sell it on my store and make money out of it, but will I face a problem if I printed and delivered the product to that single customer who asked me to do so?
If that design is a copyright infringement, we have the right to decline the order. It would be put on hold and we would reach out to you, however, keep in mind that it's still your full responsibility to make sure that these images aren't a breach of copyright.
I was told that I might have problems using my Redbubble designs with Printful - because they have transparent backgrounds - can you point me to some info about what I need to do - and why transparent backgrounds are an issue?
Hey John! Fully transparent backgrounds should not be an issue, but we do have some tips on semi-transparency that you can take a look at: www.printful.com/transparency-in-dtg-files Hope that helps!
What if I just want to design original characters those that resemble myself or women like me (because that's my target audience) and add catchy or inspirational context that maybe be familiar to someone else's work? Whenever I find a great quote/funny saying/meme.. I just check whether there are already created designs for those.. not a single one left :/ Is it okay to use freely found quotes/sayings even there are many designs already done for it?
Hi! That definitely happens from time to time. You would want to make sure that the saying or quote isn't under copyright or trademark. And if it is popular, that is when it's important to try and put your own spin on things or get creative with the design!
Is it possible to submit a design with only words for a "pre-approval" to see if it meets Printful's requirements before spending lots of time finalising the design?
