Don't let this Fiat 500's cute face fool you...deep down its an unhinged psychopath!
Matt's custom built 500 was built with a single goal in mind- Make the race car that his inner child longed for. I'd say he nailed it!

Same thing, I bought it as just a daily but fell in love with how it drives and now looking to upgrade it. I've researched extensively on what's possible on this 1.4 engine. I've come to the conclusion, that the only way to get serious numbers out of it, is to upgrade all internals, clutch, lsd, wide body w/ wider tires for better grib, then tune a very small shot of nitrous to spool a big turbo. The limit seems to be 300hp, which is plenty for this car. I'd like to hit the 350hp area, upgraded injectors and fueling seems to be a hurdle..
Ahh the Abarth another satisfied owner! Love the customization on it looks great!
+Daniel Castaneda I've never seen on in person this heavily modified, it was awesome!
@@NeilABullock fiat is fiat italian cars the mooor the best in the world . Ha ha ha ha . Tu parli italiano ?
Hahahahaha I think the same of my one! Little but dangerous!
Has a chance to meet this guy and his car at NOLA last year. Awesome car
Nice Mods. Rock on baby.
I gotta find out where he got the kit for the steering wheel.
I like that rear seat cage
how fast can this go
kinda neat. great vid man, was pretty stoked till he reved it up and everybody started laughin, some people have no class or manners at all. good job bro, keep em comin.you can stay away from the under water basket weiving man, you doin fine
Jared C I think they laugh because they are surprised by it. I have one as a suped up daily driver and people always think it’s some super car with a high revving engine when the heat it and don’t see it.
Bravo bravo congratulazioni . No comment for this . Bravo bravo . HP ? ? ? IS 1.4 TURBO ? ? ?
Matt Farah should review this.
+Savan Cleveland That would be killer, if he ever wants to come down to Louisiana I can find him plenty of cars lol
How are your interior doors so black?
What HP do this 500 have?
RoadRace Stage 3 is not a TUNE. It is a "Piggyback"... so basically he's running a fraction of the power he could get with an actual tune.
Alvin Brinson is there a big difference between a piggyback ecu and flashing an existing ecu? the motor can only do so much, and if it's getting the instructions to do so, what's really the difference.
Quite a large difference. A piggyback modifies boost levels by intercepting and altering the reading from the Boost Sensor and the MAP Sensor. In this way they trick the ECU into allowing more boost. Some also read the Camshaft sensor to determine RPM for a better calculation. All other engine parameters remain as the factory programmed them. Air fuel ratio & timing, for example. These are kept in safe limits by the ECU, but are not optimized for the added boost - especially timing.
An ECU flash can modify timing, air fuel ratio, multiair intake mode, and a host of other values, of course also requesting higher boost. Additionally, the Abarth ECU has "torque limiters". Essentially if it detects the engine is producing more torque than expected, it pulls timing and boost to reduce power output - drastically.
A stock Abarth is 160bhp. A piggyback can usually only reach about 195bhp before hitting the ECU limits. The maximum anyone has gotten out of any kind of piggyback was about 220bhp, and at that level, the ECU frequently pulls timing bringing you back down to about 200bhp.
A flash tune, with the same or even less boost than a piggyback, can easily reach 245-250bhp without hitting torque limits. With turbo and camshaft upgrades, a flash tune can reach 300 crank - 275 hp. And if you add water/meth injection or e85 you can go even higher. The piggyback would STILL be stuck at about 200-220 bhp even with all those mods.
I would trade an arm and a leg for this thing.
... then you couldn’t drive it though? I mean unless it’s someone else’s arm and leg... that gives me an idea 💡
New reply on "New reply on "I have a2015 black Abarth and love it. Mods you must have! Go pedal, throttle body, light weight pulley, these mods will improve your car performance by adding 40 more HP it's insane. My next mod will be a intercooler. Oh I forgot I have a cool air intake as well👍""
Scott Robertson great, keep it up!
Removes weight!!! Adds rollbar! Great car but ... math doesn’t add up, either have a track car or a city car but you can’t have both... the cage is not full, so you can’t road race..
Colin Chapman doesn't agree
