This is such a backwards take. The FA/18 is designed primarily as a fleet defense aircraft, although with strike capabilities. So saying that the F16 or F15 can beat the FA/18 really depends on the situation... the Air Force flying out to sea to engage the Navy will lose that battle just about every time (good luck dealing with an entire carrier strike group), which is why we have a Navy. The Navy has no equivalent to the F22 ( while both operate the F35), but the Navy's answer to the F22 is/are the E2-C Hawkeye and the EA/18G Growler; the Air Force wants the Growler, or at least some of it's hardware because the Air Force doesn't have anything like it. There is NOTHING like it anywhere else in the world. The Growlers capabilities are astonishing and would wreak havoc on any adversaries ability to communicate and would greatly decrease the effectiveness and dependability of long range weaponry like missiles. So saying that one is superior really depends on how you have them engage.
The Navy has 0% chance. The USAF is not just about fighters. It’s fighters, bombers, C2, space assets, comms, cyber. Before the fight even starts, the Air Force would take care of the Navy’s fuel supply and comms. Done. The Navy wouldn’t be able to move, let alone fly. And, even if the Navy could fly…do you know how many fighters, bombers, etc. the USAF has (versus the Navy)??? 0% chance of the Navy winning.

I served in both branches; one word, modernization. The Navy feels years behind the Air Force in almost everything. 🤔
But the navy has one big thing going for it. The biggest Airforce recruiting movie....is talking about a navy flight school.

The Navy would win hands down..because they also have the Marines 😂 And the US Navy also controls Space with the SSP Solar Warden...Space Force is just to protect assets between the Earth and Space... The Navy controls the largest area of earth... The Oceans.. and Space is like the Ocean and they also control Space.. Space Fleet is the US Navy... NOT the Air Force...there is NO Air in Space😂😂
Air is the largest space.
The Marines last a day with a bombing campaign. And the Navy lasts maybe a week. The Navy does not have enough fire power to take out the USAF conventionally. The USAF could take care of every Strike Carrier Group in a couple of days; there aren’t as many as you think. The USAF would take care of the Navy’s support infrastructure before direct conflict. Without fuel or food…the Navy can’t even think about fighting. This is not even close.
