    I voice a good amount of movie trailers (mostly in Spanish for the US) and other than your narration style and pitch shifting, you aren’t far off from what we do to our voices - multiband compression and letting the mic and preamp do some work (i.e., no need to project) is key. Nice tut! I use Audition for my trailers and all narrations (I used it on Jame the Virgin for five years).

    one thing oyu left out that really adds a nice touch to processing these types of vocals is a chorus effect. it makes the vocal recording extremely wide in the stereo spread and i notice alot of these types of vocals are really wide. It kind gives it this "sci-fi" announcer voice style

    I don't usually remove the breaths but isolate them, lower the volume, then drag an overlap on each side so there's a cross fade.

  • @rty1955
    @rty1955 4 года назад +11

    I would suggest backing away from the Mic a little the highs and all the little "breathy, sounds are noticeable. Keep your mouth about 6-8 inches away from your mouth. Don LaFontaine was about 8 inches away with a proper "pop" filter (u can make one out if two layers if stockings over a hoop.
    This give a very natural sound to you voice.
    My dad used to do live audio for TV shows and during reversals, he would xome flying out if the control room to yell at entertainers who would change audio by pulling their Mic away from thier mouth. He would yell "I do audio, you sing, That's the way it works here!"
    Moving the mic changes not only the volume but the quality of your voice
    Try it and m hear the difference

    Pretty nice tutorial thanks a lot. Just one thing: the last step where you were cutting out the breath parts of the audio. I think we could save some time by just selecting the section where you noticed the breath, right-click and silence it (if you want to keep the space between the two words/sentences) or just hit Delete. I find it huge time-saver.
