Justin Odisho can you make "partynextdoor-zayn malik" ?
hello mr. odisho, do u think you'd be willing to make a basic tutorial on sound design?
Justin Odisho Could u do Silence von Marshmello ft Khalid I really want to know how they did the coloured light wands in 2.30 min
Have you noticed the new version of Premiere crashing more often? Mine is crashing on Mac when I try to extend clips that have blending layers attached. It's made the program pretty much unusable unless I can figure out a workaround.
hey justin can you make a video tuto for Purity Ring Lofticries music video "transition"
That blur technique with the text was class
The audio ducking feature was one of my favorite things from Pinnacle Studios, which I used to use. Thanks for letting me know how two finally get it working on Premiere!
You save my life on the frustration that editing a video being a beginner gives you... so i'm forever grateful.
I've already used some of these in my videos and they make a big difference, can't wait to try out the rest. Thanks dude!!
The sound keyframing was one that rly stood out w me. Such an easy short cut. Thank you for making this.
Never knew I could add keyframes directly on the audio track. It's so much faster and easier than using the Effects panel. Thanks!
Dude the audio ducking was a game changer. I HATE keyframing audio and I am super used to working with DAW that allow me to add points just like you’ve shown. Since I’m new to video editing that was on my list of things to find. Thanks so much!
Jack Stolz If you have a DAW you can always import the two audio files in your DAW and just sidechain the audio of clips with your voice
pikasfed323 that’s true! I guess just having everything in one spot excited me haha
Jack Stolz - Just think of it as audio automation like any other. This one (premiere) happens to be clip based rather than timeline based though. I'd recommend experimenting with using the automation in combination with the drag and drop fades/ crossfades to give you more options. Also Justin doesn't mention this, but you can make many automation points by simply switching to the pen tool (P) so you don't have to keep holding command to make points then switch back to arrow with (V). Even further (since you're an audio person) if you hold command (ctrl on pc) while the pen tool is active you can convert existing automation points to bezier (curved) and drag the handles to create more natural sounding fades as you probably know from working with audio.
It’s perfect for intros and outros, makes the video seamless!
After a while,
you will like keyframing because you get to control things. Go to Adobe learn section and it will help you get the basics down.
Honestly once explained it's fairly intuitive. Thank you for breaking it down so nicely for us newbies! Can't wait to play with the full version
Wow, one of the chillest videos on this topic that I found on RUclips, good work man!
Cool stuff dude. Another powerful tip for Premiere and After FX users is to LEARN common shortcuts. Speeds up your process and actually makes editing fun, almost like playing an instrument when you’re in flow.
You can a get lot of these effects on various softwares but mixing sounds on Premiere Pro is on another level. It creates a big difference in your video quality.
Thanks for all of the Tips! 100% of these were really helpful!
Thank you, Justin. I've been watching your videos for years. They are by far the most helpful, the most clear, and offer the most value of any other editing videos out there. Truly, thank you!
Great tips! Thank you.
The audio ducking is called audio automation - if you use the pen tool (P) and then hold command (ctrl on pc) you can convert the points to bezier to have more natural curves in the automation. Another tip, holding shift and dragging while you have multiple points selected will allow you to move them all together horizontally or vertically with out moving the other way so you can easily drag your points to a different spot in the clip with out risk of changing the volume, or it will let you change the volume without risking moving the point left/ right (this works for one or multiple points at once). Also taking a still and adding scale/ motion is known as the Ken Burns effect.
❤️
hehee you so funny, i like youuuu
By following this tips, I think my video became more interesting and I can now let the viewers focus on the text rather than on the background. Thanks for this. It's very helpful!
4 years later and the video is still solid. Thank you, man!
very technical for me as a beginning beginner, BUT the ease in and ease out is something I can start using now as I incorporate photos in my video. Thank you so much!!!
Dude this was extremely helpful! All of the tips were very simple but easily overlooked when just playing around in premiere. Thank you so much!
With all the soft soft tutorials that exist on YT, yours just created that "light bulb illumination" mont in my head. Thanks for taking the

Thank you so much!!! I have no idea what i'm doing. my videos are just so lame. So thank you for teaching in a way that actually made sense. I just started out. I don't have pro yet just elements, but other people are so confusing with their videos... SO THANK YOU!!! I hope you have more learning videos for me to check out!!
Love it ! I love how you go straight to the point and demo it out for us. I think there's lot more to learn from you. But definitely will want to start improving on the sound design portion for my video. Thanks for the great content Justin!
Thanks!
Hi Justin. I am searching for ways to improve my travel videos, and I have seen a lot of different expects on youtube, that are telling me what to do. However I think some of them are wasting my time and talking and talking without making me smarter. So thanks for getting straight to the point, I have subscribed to your channel!
back in and recently got soft soft again, it felt strange and i had previously just taught myself the software. Finding your videos is helping
You are a very gifted teacher. I've been teacNice tutorialng soft for over 50 years and really appreciate your video being a beginner in soft soft.
Always very nice tuts, Justin! Clear and straight to the point. Thanks much!
Still my favorite editor teacher on YT. Good tricks. I always like to challenge myself to watch these and see if I “already know” these tricks haha
Thank you for this! We are new to video editing and this really helped understand some of the capabilities within Premier Pro. My favorite was the sound dubbing. Thanks again!! Coming to your page from here on as we build our own.
Hey, i found your video today and i applied all of your techniques to my todays project. Now i feel like a PRO :) Thanks and you deserve to be appreciated. I learnt a lot from this video. Ill be following you in future as well. Cheers !
Thanks Justin. I’m on Final Cut but the concepts make a lot of sense and love the effect (especially the text and vignette tips). Thanks
Videos like these are what taught me editing before ever taking film classes. Thank you
Glad they help
Before I graduated in film school, we only had books and each year the softwares update frequently. So watching these even after school really helps sharpen my knowledge because the software is just so big and I would use 4-6 NLE. RUclips barely had any tutorials for things like these so I am thankful people make these videos This channel is a really great start. Keep up the work.
Marcus Badibanga literally same
such a solid video man
Thanks, appreciate it!
solid not good?
That blur effect was pure genius
Thanks for the tips Justin!

Love this! I'm about to teach kids some basic video editing, and I honestly don't know where to start. This gave me some ideas. Thanks!
Exactly what I needed and was looking for! Thanks!!
Hey Justin :) almost five years later, here I am watching your video and it has been soooo helpful! Thanks for creating this video and going straight to the point.
Thanks I’m glad it still helps
These are some amazing tricks that I'll definitely be implementing into my future videos. Thanks a bunch! ♥️
Thanks so much Justin!! I have learned so much from your videos. In fact until watching this video, I have been cutting audio up with the razor tool and then cross fading it in order to get the ducking effect you just taught me about here.
Great job on this Justin! My work just improved! Thank you Sir.
Wow man thank you very much! Can't wait to go home and try everything you mentioned here in my vacation video 👍
Thanks Justin, the trick you showed about audio ducking could keep you from having to export the clip to Audition. The gotcha to this technique for me is that this technique uses keyframes, as opposed to checking a box in Audition. This is a great technique to use if you only want to duck the audio and nothing else. I've got to try this out as this is a great tip.
Yes audition definitely has more advanced and automated tools but this can be nice for simple ducks
the first trick is a life saver especially if you want to go with a light introduction to a vlog thank you
Literally no other Tutorial is this simple and straightforward as well as informative, love it.
Glad you find it simple and straightforward! Thanks
