It's super heartwarming.

The pupil in the middle of the eye sorta gives off a very ominous or strange unique vibe too in a sorta frightening way so they would probably be turned into something like stars in Lavender Townes style. The colours wouldn’t be as desaturated in my opinion as well & the sorta sprites would be more happy when it comes to showing emotion. Maybe it would be more like Pokémon too because then, like in the original game, you could walk around & see chat bubbles or texts like in the game. But idk :,))
