- I ride the Kugoo M4 Pro on the street and show how well this electric scooter is still holding up.
As you'll see, I experience a few near misses as drivers seem to overlook me and are oblivious as to the speed I am carrying. Be careful out there guys!

Billy Reeves I had 2 officers walk past me yesterday and they just turned a blind eye it's great I've already done 30 mile on it and I stick to second gear gets full range

@@bill-e6114 with mine I’ve been stopped with police 3 times already and was told if I get caught once more will be taken off me and destroyed so I had an accident on the scooter and broke 2 bones in my leg I will continue riding after my recovery the scooter is very safe I have the pro version and really like it scooter is still in great condition

your videos on the KUGOO M4 pro have really helped me pick a new scooter :) I had a AovoPro but I wanted one with more range speed and with suspension for my trips to and from work :)

One of the best Escooters about i'v done about 350miles on mine and still going strong only issue i'v had is the innertube for the back tire

@@bill-e6114 What I did, is I grabbed some typical clear silicone you get for the bathroom and I just silicones the battery compartment, any rear holes for lights and put grease around the motor covers after unscrewing them.
Nice sounds like you've sealed it up well. I've done my lights as that was evidently a problem. Motor I've used a high temp glue but the deck I've left as I'm paranoid that if water does get in it won't be able to escape if I seal it up. Put silica packs in there though to suck up any moisture that finds its way in
@@bill-e6114 you put glue on the motor covers? how on earth are you going to remove it when you need to repair the motor or something along those lines?
Its only a silicone glue, shouldn't be too hard

Yes it did go faster they set the speed to cut off at a certain speed and you can feel that the scooter still had more to give but you can change that in the settings I found a video on RUclips on how to unlock your speed limit then I picked up the back wheel and pulled the throttle and it went up to 33mph but I'm sure it can be set to a high-speed I was just playing around to see if I could do it.
if you do this they can legally disable the software inside your escooter rendering it useless anyway
All you did was adjust the P6 setting in P-mode to change the wheel diameter assumption in the speed algorithm. It did fuck-all to the actual speed (or power) of the scooter.
This setting is there for people who change out tires (smaller or larger). However, I bet you felt like you were doing 33mph!

@@coaldust01 I had to replace the controller on my M365 Pro after going up a 10+ degree incline (I am at the 100kg limit). Fine...upgraded to a stronger controller (version 3) for $30...better mosfets and more robust traces on the PCB. However, that scooter will never cut it for a person my size. Fine for my teenage girls...but not for moi. Hence, I went for the KuKirin M4 ($474 on AliEx) and am completely satisfied with this purchase. Basically cost me about the same as the M365 Pro...and the M4 is twice the machine.
This little monster is 🔥 turbocharge. Will get my X365 Pro tomorrow, ordered 2 Ski Helmet ⛑ with visor to go with it.

I'm here to check out the m4 cos I have been offered one for 200 quid and it's immaculate and only been used in hot weather and even then it's only done about 80 miles from new so it comes fully equipped with everything you need ready to ride. Can you give me your opinion on it being the right kind of money to pay or how much do you think it's worth to sell on

Change the magnet setting to number 10 from number 30 and you have 99klm or 62mph , it tells the motor that the wheel is spinning slower and you fly
Magnet count is only for calculating speed in combination with wheel size. It doesn't actually make you go any faster. Only thing ths will do that is more current or volts
By doing that you basicly ruin the scooter lmao
i went on a hire one in birmingham today, read it was illegal to ride them on pavement which suprised me
Yeah seems silly really, think we've had idiots recklessly riding them on paths. Saying that, its no different from the law that means bicycles can't either

that's mainly because they are too fast to share the space with pedestrians, getting into an accident with someone whilst you are going at 15Mph will be the same as throwing the scooter at them.
My advise to any m4 riders. Take the front of and secure the control box.. Silicone it or something because it will rattle itself to bits.. And will breakdown

@@haus_of_wisdom simple unscrew the bottom front plate. About 6 Allen key screws there's the brain in front of you. Just squirt silicon around it squish it in and replace bottom plate simple

Hi if you want to use the scooter with the saddle in Italy is illegal because it is considered a motor cycle , in the UK is possible to use the saddle or do you face penalties?

I have this scooter and your right the cars dont understand that this thing is fast I stay on the pavment as the cars are aggressive when driving and I have had a few near misses it sucks that the scooter doesnt have mirrors as it is hard to look over your shoulder fully while riding. I have to be honest I have paid for alot of repairs more than how much I paid for the scooter but now it is in better condition than before once the faults were rectified

Pretty sure you could burst 2000w through it as long as there's more ferrefluid added to it. The controller im looking at would mean 1300w peak power. Not sure if the BMS could handle it though

Ive gone off my kugoo M4 now I've got the kugoo G-booster lol...also the M4 battery is not faring well in this cold weather I'm getting like half the distance of what I did in the summertime :(
I still love it for what it is, its more of a street cruiser. Definitely better in weather over 10 degrees. My G Booster is also suffering from poor range now in the cold as its range has nearly halved

is your action camera head mounted, or chest mounted? Currently, I've got mine head mounted on my helmet, but your view seems much better than what I'm getting (I have the standard Kugoo M4, none pro version - and yeah, I took the seat off also!)
Mines on my helmet, I think the key to good video is the seat as your lower down and the clips look fast

There's no switch currently, its either cover them up or disconnect by opening the scoot

Yes I would definitely recommend. The m365 is more portable and better made. The M4 is basically better at everything else

Yes the lights are on a button, but the RGB lights come on with the lights

The legal speed limit of e bikes is, 15.5 mph in the UK... This is why they are illegal to ride... Anything over that speed limit with a motor requires to taxed and Mot for the road...

Thats a communication fault to the controller. Could be a broken wire or could be one of your controllers has blown 🤔

What’s the max mileage in mode 3 and what’s the max mileage in mode 2 thinking about getting one of these
It depends on a lot of variables, weight is the most important really. I'm 85kg and I'm getting around 12 miles in and out of mode 2 and 3 with just over half charge left. Heavier riders don't seem to be able to get as good range
I'm 62kg and in 2nd gear I'm getting the full 28 miles out of it on one charge

Hi mate, do you ride near police? And do they give you grief? I just bought solar p1 but am sending it back. Not even rode it because I’m scared police will take it and give me a big fine. Cost me £930 and I’d be gutted to loose it.
Oh mate, I know it feels sketchy sometimes on the roads and how you can sometimes get nervous about the police, but I think its worth it and the nervousness fades the more you ride. I ride carefully 95% of the time in case I go past a copper and they never seem to give me much attention. Even if they did I would not let them take my scooter

Where can electric scooters be used?
It’s illegal to use them on public roads, on pavements, in cycle lanes and in pedestrian-only areas. The reason for this is that electric scooters are currently classed as ‘powered transporters’ by the government and fall under the same laws and regulations that apply to all motor vehicles. This makes their use on pavements, in cycle lanes and in pedestrian-only areas illegal straightaway and use on public roads would only be legal if electric scooters could meet the same requirements as motor vehicles (e.g. in terms of insurance, tax, license, registration), which they can’t.
So, it would be your own fault if you got run over.

I think its okay as long as its not torrential, one thing thats a must, is wrapping the display/throttle in something like cling film to protect it from water
@@bill-e6114 nothing in that scooter its waterproof,trust me,I take off bottom panel and secure with silicone,front plastik-silicone,cables holes same,even back light need attention,it's hole through the mould guard and need to be siliconed 😉
@@zxjarro Sometimes trying to make it waterproof is the worst idea as you make it harder for water to escape if it finds a way in. I've only ever had a problem with the lights so far

Can waterproof spray helps with water resistant on electric scooter?
I wouldn't say so. You need to use silicone sealant or sealant tape to plug all the gaps around the bottom and edges of the deck. Also water can get in the motor too, so that needs like a high temp glue to seal it properly. Not to mention the throttle/screen also needs sealing

Its totally up to you but I've still not had any issues. Just do what you can to mitigate the chances of being pulled over

Its been great in my opinion. Its needed a few things doing here and there. Coming up to 1000 miles and I've enjoyed it. Battery is holding slightly less charge than before but I've only lost a tiny bit of range

Yeah they seem to be on a rampage in the city's and issue over the top penalties. Smaller towns they seem to ignore you if your not being a hazard

I live in Plymouth which wouldn’t be as bad as London, but it’s also people in general that puts me off, wish I was one of those people who didn’t care what others think but that’s not the case. I’m either going to send it back when it gets here or hold on to it until hopefully they relax the laws a bit. Do you have an e scooter?

Anyway, hopefully that will work, there’s a few good videos here or mini documentaries on scooters in uk and overall apart from the idiots, the public don’t seem to mind them, as in going greener, convenience to and from work and the like. On the lines of what you said, there are a ton of people who want this legal and the scooter sales in uk are impressively high 👍it can’t just be swept under the carpet that’s for sure. The latest we will wait to see is next year I think. But I’ll probably just end up keeping the mantis and maybe just take it for a spin on the trails, seen a few people with them there so hopefully i won’t get chased out with a pitchfork or something :). I think I prefer this one. This M4 is super quiet. The motor is virtually silent, the only things that make noise are the tyres and the suspension
@@bill-e6114 Add M20 black nylon or hard rubber washers to the top and bottom front springs and fit silicone rubber tubing (automotive tubing) over the struts (inside of the springs) to both quiet and dampen the front suspension.

For the money you get a lot of scooter, its hard to find a better scooter for this price. You can get them for around 550 on average now

Seeing this has a seat it's a electric moped. Not a scooter. Hope he's got a licence, insurance and paid any road tax due. If not when he has an accident don't expect the NHS to piece his body back together

@@bill-e6114 quick question bro just say you ride past the police and your riding at a normal speed and not extremely fast will they say anything?
@@hxzzy3484 I think that 15mph combined with a helmet will make them less likely to pull you over. Also try not to weave around too much. If you don't look like much of a danger on the road they will be less inclined to stop you

Nothing so far buddy, if I see them I slow down and I wear a lid. I have touched 29 briefly on a flat, but 25 all day long just not up hills
