    I remember driving a schedule 40 post 6 ft down, 50 inches out the ground ( 10 ft schedule 40 terminal) , driven with a hand pounder, to swing a 16 ft single swing gate with operator. That was 4 years ago, and it still swings perfect as the day I hung it. 😊

    Always enjoy your videos. I need to find somewhere to rent one of these things to see if it will work with the ground conditions in my area.

    The postmaster welded to a 2.5” post is great idea to act as post anchor/tap root, I’ll have to take that! Very impressed with the Hyde rhino to get through that soil

    Quick question: are you guys making any videos on that large project you guys are doing. Heard Mark talking about a job where you have 20+ guys working on the same site. Would be cool to see that. Love the videos guys! Keep up the great work

    Concrete actually can cause a failure vs driven as it creates a fulcrum point for the post to snap at rather than the force being spread over the length of the post.

    If you ever quit fencing, you could start up a fitness channel starting with your jumping jacks. Don't forget to add music.

    I've been in the fencing buisness for my entire adult life up north of you in Canada and instead of that peice of equipment that shall not be named have you guys ever looked into the talet equipment postmaster? I think it would benefit you guys as much as it does us! Love all your tips and tricks it's awsome because you guys basically fence identical to the way we do up here with a few slight differences! Cheers!!

    I am pretty lucky as I just use a post pounder on t posts but I am not a fence company. Fencing used on garden plots. I do have a comment, please tell me that those orange shoes are steel toed. I am all about safety and require them on my jobs. I see you around some heavy equipment and those posts. You are doing great about getting the job done just want to make sure you don't get hurt!! Please keep up the great work and have a good dang day!!!

    Would you ever use a skid-steer post driver attachment with postmaster posts? I'm doing a DIY project and want to drive the posts, but can't find the hand held drivers for rent anywhere. However, I can find skid steers available. Thanks

    We don't have a skid steer but we do have a kx040 excavator with remotes. Up to 17gpm adjustable. Can that run the RHINO HPD 60 ?

    Y'all have demonstrated that pounding is a great option. But as you said, it is an expensive option. To much money for the DIY'ER, just doing a backyard fence project. But thanks for the information.

      The gas pounders can often be rented from tool stores or fence companies. Brings the cost down considerably.

    When they come out and locate the gas lines and fiber optic, I like to use those markings to put my posts’ in a straight line.

    I live in Clark near the Canyon. Recently bought fencing supplies (5”x10’ post, No Climb Fence and accessories) from you guys. Just curious… how are you guys able to drive post in Clark? I spent 4 hours putting in one post using my tractor. Will be renting an excavator to dig up rocks just to get the post in 3’ deep. I have some serious big rocks. I see fencing all over Clark and am baffled on how the fence lines are straight and post are spaced fairly even. Truly baffling to me.

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  20 дней назад

      It's extremely difficult. We have extremely large pounders with rock spikes, and really only recommend driving pipe since it's a smaller diameter--it'll drive through the tough soil conditions once you've punched it with the rock spike.

    What would happen if you attached some kind of a weight rack to the post, then used the gas driver? Asking for a person that only has a gas driver....Would it go deeper?

    • @SWiFence
      @SWiFence  2 месяца назад

      I don't think so. You're making the post heavier, but you're also lessening the impact the driver is having.

    All right you jokers let's see how you deal with nice sandy, silty soil that has little cohesion?
