Then some comedian made a joke about Nickleback sucking, so it became fashionable to say that they sucked, kind of like it was fashionable to pile on Uwe Boll for movie critics. The Nickleback ripoff bands that followed didn't help. Nor did the fact Chad Kroger is boring as Hell as a person.

As someone who was around when the nickelback hate began, it seemed to be guys who were jealous that women liked their music, and men also liked their music, and teenage boys were too insecure to admit they liked it too.
